Arrangement for operating one or more windows installed in a vehicle

An arrangement for operating one or more windows (S1-S4, SF, SH), which are installed in a vehicle (FZ) and in particular delimit a passenger compartment (FGZ) and whose optical properties can be changed by electrical actuation, comprises a position-determining device (ZGA) for determining the position (P1-P3) of an object (IDG1) which is located outside the vehicle (FZ). In addition, the arrangement has a control device (STG, AST) which is configured to actuate the one or more windows (S1-S4, SF, SH) as a function of the position, determined by the position-determining device, and in particular the distance.

Vehicle control system

A first authentication process unit and a second authentication process unit of an ECU constituting a system respectively perform a first authentication process and a second authentication process for comparing authentication information acquired from a maintenance operator terminal and a user terminal, and first authentication information of a first authentication information registration unit and second authentication information of a second authentication information registration unit. An authority setting unit performs an operation permission for a vehicle for the purpose of maintaining the vehicle when the authentications match.

Antenna switching control for AOA capturing in phone-as-a-key systems with de-whitened tone transmission, CRC based validation and event timing

A reader includes a transceiver and a control module. The transceiver is configured to, during a current connection event, monitor notification messages transmitted from a portable access device to a phone-as-a-key (PaaK) system of a vehicle, where the notification messages are transmitted to establish a communication link between the portable access device and the PaaK system. The control module is configured to: perform an in-phase and quadrature phase capture of the notification messages based on fields in one or more of the notification messages, where the fields include a mobile de-whitened section including two or more series of consecutive bits, where the consecutive bits in each of the one or more series are all zeros or all ones; based on the in-phase and quadrature phase capture, determine an angle-of-arrival of the notification messages, and indicate the angle-of-arrival to the PaaK system for permitted access determined by the PaaK system.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERFORMING COMMANDS IN A VEHICLE USING SPEECH AND IMAGE RECOGNITION

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for implementation of a vehicle command operation system that may use multi-modal technology to authenticate an occupant of the vehicle to authorize a command and receive natural language commands for vehicular operations. The system may utilize sensors to receive data indicative of a voice command from an occupant of the vehicle. The system may receive second sensor data to aid in the determination of the corresponding vehicular operation in response to the received command. The system may retrieve authentication data for the occupants of the vehicle. The system authenticates the occupant to authorize a vehicular operation command using a neural network based on at least one of the first sensor data, the second sensor data, and the authentication data. Responsive to the authentication, the system may authorize the operation to be performed in the vehicle based on the vehicular operation command.

Confirmed automated access to portions of vehicles

In general, techniques are described by which provide confirmed automated access to portions of vehicles. A control system comprising a processor, and a memory may be configured to perform the techniques. The memory may store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to determine that the authorized operator of the vehicle is intending to access a portion of the vehicle, and output, responsive to determination, a confirmation request to the authorized operator. The confirmation request may request confirmation that the authorized operator is intending to access the portion of the vehicle. The memory may also store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to receive, from the authorized operator, a confirmation response indicating whether the authorized operator is intending to access at least the portion of the vehicle, and automatically open, based on the confirmation response, at least the portion of the vehicle.
