Decorative Element with an Actuation Mode, Vehicle Element and Vehicle
A decorative element with an actuation module for an electronic lock system where the actuation module may have at least an outer actuation element and an interior actuation sensor for triggering a switching function and an electronic evaluation unit that is connected to the actuation sensor. The decorative element may form the actuation element and the decorative element moves elastically when actuated, in particular to its actuation position. Also provided is a movable vehicle element with such a decorative element and a vehicle with at least one such movable vehicle element.

VEHICLE SENSOR CONTROL FOR OPTIMIZED MONITORING
Upon detecting an absence of a user inside a passenger cabin of a vehicle, an object inside the passenger cabin is classified as one of preferred or nonpreferred. Upon classifying the object as preferred, a sensor is activated to monitor an environment outside the passenger cabin based on determining the object is visible from outside the passenger cabin. A priority level for the preferred object is determined based on data from the sensor, wherein the priority level is one of high or low. A vehicle component is actuated to reduce the priority level based on determining the priority level for the preferred object is high.

Rental/car-share vehicle access and management system and method
An apparatus and operational method are disclosed that use control hardware resident in a vehicle to enable a remote computing system to wirelessly communicate with the vehicle. The control hardware includes a processor configured to interface with a wireless network and the vehicle through, respectively, a wireless network interface and a vehicle interface. A plurality of CAN (control area network) bus transceivers may exist within the vehicle interface operable to allow the processor to interface with multiple vehicle types. The processor may then be configured to automatically detect an identifier for the vehicle though the vehicle interface and automatically select a CAN bus transceiver from the plurality of CAN bus transceivers based on the detected identifier. The processor can then communicate with the vehicle's CAN bus via the selected CAN bus transceiver.

Vehicle control system, mobile terminal, and in-vehicle device
A vehicle control system includes an in-vehicle device, a mobile terminal, and one or more processors. The in-vehicle device is mounted on a vehicle. The in-vehicle device controls a lock mechanism that locks and unlocks a door of the vehicle. The in-vehicle device causes the lock mechanism to unlock the door in response to a predetermined condition being satisfied. The mobile terminal communicates with the in-vehicle device. The one or more processors determine whether the mobile terminal is present inside a vehicle compartment. The one or more processors detect whether the mobile terminal is used. The one or more processors control the vehicle control system not to satisfy the predetermined condition in response to determination that the mobile terminal is present inside the vehicle compartment.
