Method for handling transmission of fraudulent frames within in-vehicle network
An anti-fraud method for use in an in-vehicle network system including a plurality of electronic control units that exchange data frames, each having added thereto a message authentication code (MAC), via at least one bus includes: receiving a data frame transmitted on the bus; generating a first MAC by using a MAC key and a value of a counter that counts the number of times a data frame having added thereto a MAC is transmitted; in a case where the verification has failed, (i) generating as second MAC by using an old MAC key; (ii) re-verifying that the received data frame has added thereto the generated second MAC; transmitting, in a case where the re-verification has succeeded, via the bus a key-update frame indicating a request for updating the MAC key; and updating the MAC key in response to the transmission of the key-update frame.
Delivering items to unattended vehicles
The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for delivering items to unattended vehicles. In general, aspects of the invention facilitate controlled access to one or more portions of a vehicle for item deliver. A vehicle is configured with partitions. The partitions can be deployed to close off portions of the vehicle from an area used to accept a delivered item. Partitions may be automatically deployed when a delivery arrives (from a delivery person or robot) to section off a compartment of the vehicle to limit access to the sectioned compartment. Partitions can be re-configured to prevent external access to the sectioned off compartment after a delivery is completed.
System and method for content based anomaly detection in an in-vehicle communication network
A system and method for providing security to a network may include maintaining, by a processor, a model of an expected behavior of data communications over an in-vehicle communication network; receiving, by the processor, a plurality of messages communicated over the network; determining, by the processor, based on the model and based on content attributes of the plurality of messages, whether or not at least one of the messages complies with the model; and if at least one message does not comply with the model then performing, by the processor, at least one action related to the message.

Snowmobile
A vehicle is shown such as a snowmobile, where a frame includes a tunnel and a front frame portion comprised of cast halves. A suspension system is comprised of upper and lower control arms connected to the front frame portion. Some of the frame components are adhesively fixed together. A powertrain is supported by the frame, and is comprised of an engine and a clutch. The clutch includes a clutch guard supporting an oil container. The engine has an exhaust system which extends through the front frame portion. The snowmobile also has a rear snow deflector.

A charger is permitted to perform external charging of a power storage device in a connector locked state in which a charging connector is locked to a charge inlet by a connector lock device. An ECU releases the connector locked state in conjunction a door unlock operation of releasing a door locked state placed by a door lock mechanism. When the external charging of the power storage device by the charger is cancelled by the connector locked state being released, a different charging stop history, depending on presence or absence of a predetermined user operation after the external charging is cancelled, is stored into a storage device.

A vehicle antitheft system includes a house security device and a vehicle security device. The house security device includes a detection unit and a transmission unit configured to transmit a notification when a state change of a predetermined security unit is detected by the detection unit. The vehicle security device includes a reception unit configured to receive the notification transmitted from the transmission unit and a function control unit configured to control a vehicle antitheft function depending on whether the notification is received by the reception unit. The function control unit is configured to release the vehicle antitheft function when the notification is not received and a regular vehicle key is used to operate a vehicle, and to restrict releasing of the vehicle antitheft function when the notification is received and the regular vehicle key is used to operate the vehicle.
Method and system for integrating multiple camera images to track a vehicle
A method and a system for integrating multiple camera images to track a vehicle are provided. In the method, a security request of a vehicle to be tracked is received from a user, in which the security request comprises registration information and position information of the vehicle. Next, images captured by multiple cameras in a specific range around a location of the position information are retrieved. The retrieved images are analyzed according to the registration information, so as to recognize the images comprising the vehicle. Finally, a message is issued when the images comprising the vehicle are recognized.

A system and method include a sensor disposed adjacent a power actuated movable panel of a vehicle for detecting an approach of an operator to the power actuated movable panel and measuring at least one operator characteristic of the operator in proximity to the sensor. The system and method also include a controller in communication with the sensor to interpret sensor data of the operator from the sensor to determine the at least one operator characteristic to adjust a position of the power actuated movable panel based on the at least one operator characteristic.
WEARABLE CAMERA, IN-VEHICLE COMMUNICATION DEVICE, CHARGING DEVICE, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A wearable camera includes an image capture device, a processor, and first and second memories. The image capture device images a subject. The first memory at least temporarily stores first communication setting information for communication with an in-vehicle communication device. The second memory stores a program that, when executed by the processor, causes the wearable camera to: perform a communication setting process that establishes a communication connection between the wearable camera and the in-vehicle communication device, delete the first communication setting information from the first memory after a lapse of a certain time from a timer reset, the timer reset occurring in response to establishment of the communication connection between the wearable camera and the in-vehicle communication device, and notify that the first communication setting information is not stored in the first memory, in response to determining that the first communication setting information is not stored in the first memory.
