Method for Operating a Vehicle, Device and Vehicle
A method for operating a vehicle includes monitoring for a presence of an assigned authorization element in the vehicle during operating the vehicle and operating the vehicle in a secure state when the assigned authorization element is not detected, where a performance parameter of the vehicle is at least temporarily modified in the secure state.

System and method of controlling surrounding lamp system of vehicle
A system and method of controlling a surrounding lamp system of a vehicle are provided. The method includes sensing an approach of the user to the vehicle acquiring an image of the user with respect to a vehicle body, when the user approaches the vehicle body. A motion of the user, the motion having directionality with respect to the vehicle body is determined from the image and a surrounding lamp is then operated based on the motion having directionality with respect to the vehicle body.
PASSENGER AUTHENTICATION AND ENTRY FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES
Methods, apparatus, and systems for passenger authentication and entry for autonomous vehicles are disclosed. A vehicle receives information over a first communication channel from a first mobile device. The information specifies a geographical location. The information causes the vehicle to arrive at the geographical location. The vehicle transmits a first message to a second mobile device indicating that the vehicle has arrived at the geographical location. The first message includes a graphical icon representing the vehicle. The graphical icon is for display on a user interface of the second mobile device. The vehicle receives a second message from the second mobile device over a second communication channel. The second message indicates that the graphical icon was dragged across the user interface into a graphical receptacle displayed on the user interface. Responsive to receiving the second message, at least one door of the vehicle is unlocked.
CAMERA TAMPERING DETECTION
A computer, including a processor and a memory, the memory including instructions to be executed by the processor to determine a center of an object in a first image acquired by a camera, determine camera nise values for a zone in the first image that includes the center and determine a fakeness score by comparing the camera noise values with previously determined camera noise values.
COUNTERFEIT IMAGE DETECTION
A computer, including a processor and a memory, the memory including instructions to be executed by the processor to acquire a first image with a visible and NIR light camera and acquire a second image with an infrared camera. The instructions can include further instructions to determine whether the second image includes a live human face by comparing a first infrared profile included in the second image with second infrared profile included in a previously acquired third image acquired with a the infrared camera; and when the second image includes the live human face, output the first image.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING SECURITY TO A VEHICLE
The systems and methods disclosed herein are configured to provide security to a vehicle. A system includes a point measurement device inside a space of a vehicle. The system identifies a threat if points that differ from a calibrated set of points are localized in an area of the space.
Authentication concealment and alignment systems
A user monitoring apparatus for identifying a user of a vehicle includes a scanning apparatus configured to capture identifying information comprising a facial feature of the user in a field of view. A panel comprises a display portion. The apparatus further includes a feedback apparatus disposed behind the panel and configured to communicate alignment information visually indicating an alignment of the facial feature within the field of view of the scanning apparatus. The feedback apparatus includes at least one emitter configured to emit an alignment emission through an optical element thereby illuminating the alignment information on the display portion.
Methods and systems for controlling operating conditions of vehicle components
A method of controlling an operating condition of a seat belt warning mechanism and a power window of the vehicle is provided. The method, implemented by a computing device of the vehicle, includes detecting, using a sensor of the vehicle, an animal in an interior of the vehicle, activating, automatically and without user intervention, an operating mode for the vehicle responsive to detecting the animal, and controlling, based on the operating mode, an operating condition of a seat belt warning mechanism of the vehicle and an operating condition of a power window of the vehicle.
Vehicular safety monitoring
Disclosed herein is a vehicle theft prevention device. The device can include a data store including event configuration data. The device can include one or more sensors that can sense various types of measurements proximate to a vehicle. The device can include a computing device in communication with the sensors. The computing device can read measurements from the sensors and determine that a particular event has occurred. The computing device can analyze the measurements to determine the particular event occurred based on the event configuration data. When the particular event occurs, the computing device can perform one or more remedial actions.
