A mobile surveillance system includes a plurality of cameras affixed to a motor vehicle collectively providing a complete set of views around the motor vehicle, a recording device and a monitoring device for viewing images.

PHYSICALLY SECURED DEVICE FOR VEHICLE INTRUSION DETECTION
20210213910 · 2021-07-15 ·

A vehicle theft-prevention apparatus can include a locking mechanism with an engagement component. The locking mechanism can be engaged via a first action to apply a force on the vehicle when in an engaged state. The locking mechanism can disengage, via a second action, to withdraw the force from the vehicle when in the engaged state. The locking mechanism can maintain a current state of the force in response to the first action and the second action when in a disengaged state. One or more computing devices can receive a command to enable or disable the locking mechanism. In response to receiving the command, the computing device can cause the engagement component to transition the locking mechanism from the disengaged state to the engaged state or from an engaged state to a disengaged state.

Automatic shutdown device for battery-powered electronics
11063457 · 2021-07-13 ·

Apparatus, methods, and systems according to which shutdown features are provided to battery-powered electronics. An automatic shutdown device detects periods in which the battery-powered electronics are motionless using a sensor and, based on such detection, disconnects the battery from the battery-powered electronics using an electronic switch, rendering the battery-powered electronics inoperable. In addition, the automatic shutdown device is able to reenergize the battery-powered electronics using the electronic switch once motion is detected by the sensor so that the battery-powered electronics can resume normal operations. In several embodiments, the battery-powered electronics include a keyless fob associated with a vehicle and the automatic shutdown device is part of a vehicle theft prevention system.

VEHICLE CONTROL APPARATUS
20210206348 · 2021-07-08 ·

A vehicle control apparatus is mounted on a vehicle to perform wireless communication with a portable terminal. The vehicle control apparatus includes a first processor and a second processor. The first processor execute a first process to determine whether or not a wireless signal is a regular wireless signal transmitted from the portable terminal. The second processor executes a second process including an authentication of the portable terminal in response to the received wireless signal being determined to be the regular wireless signal, and does not execute the second process in response to the received wireless signal being determined to be not the regular wireless signal. Herein, a power consumption when the first processor executes the first process is smaller than a power consumption when the second processor executes the second process.

MACHINE TAMPER DETECTION

A tamper detection system is disclosed. The tamper detection system may include an electronic control module (ECM) of a machine and a tamper detection module. The tamper detection module may detect, while the machine is powered off, an opening of a switch that is associated with a component of the machine. The opening of the switch may indicate tampering with the component of the machine. The tamper detection module may set, while the machine is powered off, a state of a latch based on detecting the opening of the switch. The state, while set, may indicate that the switch was opened. The tamper detection module may cause, when the machine is powered on, the ECM to provide an indication that tampering with the component of the machine has occurred based on the state.
