SECONDARY AUTHENTICATION
20240140360 · 2024-05-02 ·

An enhanced validation mode for a vehicle is provided. Presence of a primary access device is identified, using a radio frequency (RF) transceiver of the vehicle. Responsive to the vehicle being in the enhanced validation mode, aspects of a secondary access device are validated with an access list descriptive of which secondary access devices are allowable for use in confirming a user is authorized, in addition to utilizing the primary access device to validate access to the vehicle, the secondary access device being a physical credential issued to a user to grant the user access to a physical location. Responsive to the vehicle not being in the enhanced validation mode, the primary access device but not the secondary access device are utilized to validate access to the vehicle.

User interfaces for an electronic key

Embodiments generally relate to managing and using an electronic key. In some embodiments, the electronic key is utilized to cause a vehicle to unlock one or more doors of the vehicle when a computer system that includes the electronic key is positioned within a first threshold distance of the vehicle. In some embodiments, a user interface object associated with the electronic key is displayed in a first position of an accounts user interface when a computer system that includes the electronic key is positioned within a second threshold distance of the vehicle.

Securing a vehicle on authorized user change

A memory stores telemetry data for a vehicle. A processor is programmed to send an authorization confirmation request to the vehicle responsive to pattern matching on the telemetry data indicating a potential change in authorization of the vehicle, and send a deauthorization request to an authorization server to deauthorize tokens for the vehicle responsive to a lack of an affirmative response to the authorization confirmation request being received within a predefined time period.

WATCH WITH FOB CAPABILITIES
20190176756 · 2019-06-13 ·

Described herein is a watch with a plurality of electrical components and systems to generally provide a remote coupling with an additional system, such as a vehicle or entry system. The watch generally functions as a vehicle fob and security device for wearing by a user. The watch includes a bezel portion having a generally hollow channel configured for the receipt of airflow to generally direct the airflow to form a sound, wherein the bezel can be utilized as a whistle.

INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD

The information processing method according to the information processing device includes: determining that an electronic key having authority with respect to a vehicle of the user is in a usable state; if it is determined that a payment for requesting work in the vehicle has been approved by the user, executing a settlement process; and notifying the operator terminal of permission to depart to the position of the vehicle after the completion of the settlement process.

Method for activating a vehicle function and associated activation device

A method for activating a function of a motor vehicle by an activation device on the vehicle having at least one communication unit including at least one radiofrequency antenna and transmission and reception device. The activation coming from a user's portable device. The activation of the function is triggered by detection of the user's presence in a predetermined zone around the vehicle and on the basis of a result of authentication of the portable device by the vehicle. For at least two responses received from the portable device: a) comparing, for each response, a power of a first wave received at a time with a maximum power of the components of the first wave received, b) determining, for each response, a presence or absence of reflected waves, c) determining an averaged reflection rate for the responses, d) determining a minimum value for the time from the responses, e) if the averaged reflection rate is zero or full, then the user's presence in the predetermined area is determined using the minimum value for the time, f) if the averaged reflection rate is partial, then the user's presence in the predetermined area is detected using the minimum value for the time, to which a corrective coefficient is applied.

User authentication method for construction equipment

The present disclosure relates to a user authentication method for construction equipment, capable of preventing theft of construction equipment. The user authentication method for construction equipment according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a user authentication method for construction equipment includes: a user information registration step for registering a user identification information provided from a user device; a digital key issuance step for, upon request for use of the construction equipment from the user device, generating a digital key corresponding to the construction equipment and transmitting the generated digital key to the user device; and an equipment authentication step for allowing the use of the construction equipment when the user device having receive the digital key completes authentication of the identification information through the digital key.

A watch is provided and the watch may be worn on a wrist thereby facilitating the watch to display a time of day and a date. A communication unit is coupled to the watch. The communication unit is in electrical communication with the diagnostic unit to notify a user of diagnostic alerts generated by the diagnostic unit. The communication unit controls operational parameters of the electric door locks, the electric trunk release and the theft alarm.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE, SYSTEM
20240227729 · 2024-07-11 ·

A method for operating a motor vehicle having at least one vehicle communication arrangement fixed to the body. Signals are emitted by a user device, which can be handled independently of the motor vehicle and can be assigned or is assigned to a driver of the motor vehicle, and are received by the vehicle communication arrangement. A distance between the user device and the motor vehicle is monitored on the basis of the received signals. Provision is made for the distance to be monitored during operation of the motor vehicle and for a safety operating state of the motor vehicle to be activated when a distance exceeding a predefined threshold value is detected.

USER INTERFACES FOR AN ELECTRONIC KEY

The present disclosure generally relates to managing and using an electronic key.
