AUTOMATIC ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A NON-AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE
20240359656 · 2024-10-31 ·

Systems and methods for accessing one or more compartments or systems of a non-automotive vehicle. One system includes an electronic communications device including an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to authenticate an access control system of a non-automotive vehicle using a first wireless communications protocol, determine distance information via ranging between the electronic communications device and the access control system using a second wireless communications protocol, and send the distance information to the access control system, thereby enabling the access control system to selectively unlock a steering mechanism of the non-automotive vehicle based on the distance information.

INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE

An information processing device includes a control unit. When the parking position of the user's vehicle is included in a caution-required location where the vehicle is likely to be towed, the control unit executes a process of alerting the user.

System for remotely opening a land-vehicle door

A system for remotely opening a land vehicle door is provided. The system includes a mobile communication device supported on the vehicle and operative to produce a first signal in the form of a first electromagnetic field defined by a field envelope. A hand-held communication device is operative to detect the first electromagnetic field and produce a second signal in the form of a second electromagnetic field when the hand-held device is located within the field envelope. Control logic is coupled to the mobile device and is operative to determine if the hand-held device is an authorized hand-held device. The control logic is operative to determine if a pedestrian carrying an authorized hand-held device is located within the field envelope and to generate a door-opening command signal when the authorized device is located within the field envelope for a predetermined period of time.

On-board communication system, and portable device

In an on-board communication system, an on-board device transmits detection signals from a plurality of antennas disposed in a vehicle, and a plurality of portable devices each receive the detection signals and transmit response signals corresponding to the received detection signals. Each portable device measures an elapsed time from when the processing start signal is received, and (i) transmits a first response signal that includes information corresponding to the received detection signals, and (ii) when a specified time has elapsed from receipt of the processing start signal, transmits a second response signal including the same information as the information included in the first response signal. Position detection of the portable devices is performed based on the response signals.

Apparatus, system and method for vehicle access and function control utilizing a portable device

A system for providing dynamic access to a vehicle via a plurality of devices. A device and/or a server of an authentication network stored fob data relating to one or more key fobs linked to the vehicle, and device data that includes data relating to one or more devices linked to the key fob that are authorized to access the vehicle. The vehicle receives an access request indicating that a new device is requesting access to the vehicle, whereupon a challenge may be transmitted to one or more of the authorized devices. The one or more devices may respond, granting access to vehicle functions. The vehicle and/or authentication network generate a secure fob key and access limitations based on the response and transmit the secure fob key to the new device. Profile templates may be used to set and control vehicle access and functions.

Portable device for unlocking vehicle, method, and storage medium

The disclosure relates to a portable device for unlocking a vehicle, a method, and a storage medium. The portable device includes a communication unit and a processing unit. The communication unit is configured to scan a pairing request signal from the vehicle, and transmit a locking/unlocking signal to the vehicle. The processing unit is configured to: receive a motion status signal indicating a motion status of the portable device and a temperature signal indicating an ambient temperature of the portable device; and switch an operating mode of the portable device based on at least one of the motion status signal and the temperature signal. The portable device for unlocking a vehicle proposed in the disclosure can switch its operating mode in response to a change in the motion status and the ambient temperature, thereby solving a problem of fast power consumption and a short service life of a smart key, and solving a problem of failure of a function of the smart key at high temperature in summer or at low temperature in winter.

Secondary authentication

An enhanced validation mode for a vehicle is provided. Presence of a primary access device is identified, using a radio frequency (RF) transceiver of the vehicle. Responsive to the vehicle being in the enhanced validation mode, aspects of a secondary access device are validated with an access list descriptive of which secondary access devices are allowable for use in confirming a user is authorized, in addition to utilizing the primary access device to validate access to the vehicle, the secondary access device being a physical credential issued to a user to grant the user access to a physical location. Responsive to the vehicle not being in the enhanced validation mode, the primary access device but not the secondary access device are utilized to validate access to the vehicle.

Communication system, tuner, and setting method

A mobile device includes a signal generating unit that generates a first signal and a transmitting unit that wirelessly transmits the first signal generated by the signal generating unit. The first signal includes frequency information that is used in wireless communication between the mobile device and a tuner. The tuner includes a setting processing unit that sets a receiving frequency of an antenna and a demodulation frequency of a phase synchronization circuit. The setting processing unit sets the receiving frequency and the demodulation frequency on the basis of the frequency information included in the first signal from the mobile device.

Vehicle security system
