LIGHTED VEHICLE WASH DRYER ASSEMBLY WITH OPAQUE LETTERING ON HOUSING
A dryer assembly for a vehicle wash system includes a plastic translucent housing having an exterior surface and a generally hollow interior. The housing includes an inlet opening with a motor unit in communication with the inlet opening for drawing air through the inlet opening into the hollow interior. The housing includes a plurality of nozzle portions in communication with the inlet opening and configured to emit high velocity air therefrom to remove water from an exterior surface of a vehicle while disposed in a vehicle treatment area. The housing includes a light source associated therewith for emitting light through the housing for viewing by the vehicle disposed in the vehicle treatment area. The housing includes lettering formed on the exterior surface of the housing with the lettering configured such that light emitted from the light source will not pass therethrough.
VEHICLE DRYING SYSTEM
A non-flexible tubular attachment to convert a hand-held electric blower into a device for drying vehicles. The attachment includes a first end configured to mate with the hand-held electric blower and a second end in fluid communication with the blower to output air for drying a vehicle. A non-uniform internal air passageway extends from the first end to the second end.
Vehicle wash systems and methods
The invention is directed at systems and methods which provide for effective cleaning and drying of vehicles of different shapes and sizes. The invention in one example includes a vehicle washing apparatus comprising a conveyor system to move a vehicle along a path, and a bridge assembly supported above a vehicle and moveable along the length thereof. At least one trolley assembly is operatively supported by the bridge assembly and is moveable in a direction generally transverse to the movement of the bridge assembly. At least one cleaning arm assembly for delivering cleaning fluid to or for brushing the surface of a vehicle is operatively supported by the at least one trolley assembly or bridge. The cleaning arm assembly is moveable with the bridge assembly along the length of the vehicle, and transversely with the at least one trolley assembly to adjust the location of the cleaning arm relative to the vehicle, wherein the bridge assembly moves in association with movement of the vehicle to position the cleaning arm assembly adjacent at least a portion of the front, sides and rear of the vehicle as it moves along the path. A variable impact or patterning spray arm or drying system is also provided.
Apparatus and methods for drying a vehicle
Described herein is an apparatus for drying a vehicle. An apparatus for drying a vehicle may include an overhead frame including two or more beams, a distal rod, a proximal rod, and at least a central rod. An apparatus for drying a vehicle may further include one or more sets of blowers, such as a first set of blowers mechanically attached to the two or more beams, a second set of blowers mechanically attached to the proximal rod, a third set of blowers mechanically attached to the distal rod, and a fourth set of blowers mechanically attached to a central rod.
DRYING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A VEHICLE CARWASH
A vehicle drying system and method is adapted for use in an automated carwash and includes a rotary drying wheel assembly defining a wheel axis and having disc shaped drying elements including outer and inner elements where the outer elements have a larger diameter than the inner drying elements thus allowing for better drying the sides of a vehicle including side mirrors of the vehicle when the rotary drying wheel assembly is in a horizontal orientation. The system and method may further include a control system adapted to control movement of the rotary drying wheel assembly including rotation of the drying wheel assembly in a first direction and a second direction opposite of the first direction for purpose of better reaching into and drying inward angled side mirrors of the vehicle. The control system may further include a sensor for detecting the position of the vehicle and the vehicle's height.
Vehicle wash system having dryer media devices and an air moving assembly for removing excess moisture from the dryer media devices
A vehicle washing system includes a vehicle treatment area that is configured to receive a vehicle to be dried. At least one dryer media device is positioned in the vehicle treatment area. The at least one dryer media device is configured to dry the vehicle upon contact with the vehicle. An air moving assembly is located adjacent to the at least one dryer media device in the vehicle treatment area, and is configured to remove excess moisture from the at least one dryer media device.
