An ophthalmic apparatus for examining an examinee's eye, comprising a face support member to support an examinee's face, a human detection member to detect whether or not the face is supported by the face support member, a notification member to give an announcement to an examinee or an examiner, and a control member to control the notification member based on a detection result of the human detection member.

Foldable Ophthalmic System

There is a need for robust and portable system, and apparatus for ophthalmology. We propose use of foldable ophthalmic system. Our system will have a chin-rest (or face-rest or forehead rest) that can be folded so that the ocular device could be transported in a brief-case type casing. Our system can be used for many modalities including optical coherence tomography.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FIXING A RELATIVE GEOMETRIC POSITION OF AN EYE
20170340201 · 2017-11-30 · ·

A device and a method for fixing a relative geometric position of an eye with respect to an ophthalmological diagnosis and/or therapy system. A device having a container with upper edge designed to produce a mechanically fixed connection between the container and the ophthalmological diagnosis and/or therapy system, and a lower edge which can be placed with a form fit onto the eye, and a clamping mechanism for producing a force-fit connection of the container to the eye, wherein the clamping mechanism has a movable connection to the container is a fixed rotation point or a fixed rotation axis in a jacket area of the container, and by a corresponding method.

EYE IMAGING SYSTEM AND FUNDUS CAMERA POSITIONING DEVICE
20230181026 · 2023-06-15 ·

An eye imaging system can include a head-wearable eye imager positioning helmet with an outer shell and a conformable liner that can include head location fiducials defining a specified plane. An attached articulating eye imager fixture can include an eye imager positioning indication system to indicate a position of the eye imager with respect to an eye of the patient for acquiring one or more images at the indicated position such that images recorded over a chronic period of time are assessable using the position information. The articulating eye imager fixture can include an articulating arm and an eye imager mount. The system can assist the patient with helmet positioning, and can automatically position a fundus camera or other eye imager for accurate image capture and analysis, such as using a trained machine learning model for patient evaluation, monitoring, or diagnosis.
