Multi-pressure valve controller and method for a vehicle braking system
A vehicle braking system includes a brake associated with a respective wheel of the vehicle, a multi-pressure valve associated with the brake, and a controller electrically communicating with the multi-pressure valve. The multi-pressure valve receives fluid at a first pressure at a supply port and is capable of delivering the fluid at a delivery port at a plurality of pressure profiles. A control signal is transmitted to the multi-pressure valve. The multi-pressure valve delivers the pressurized fluid to the brake, via the delivery port, at one of the plurality of delivery pressure profiles based on the control signal.

A method of controlling the braking of a tractor-trailer combination, in which the tractor includes a drive train having an engine and at least one ground-engaging member driveably connected thereto, at least one ground-engaging member of the tractor includes at least one tractor brake, and at least one ground-engaging member of the trailer includes at least one trailer brake, the operation of which depends at least in part on the operative condition of the at least one tractor brake, includes the steps of, on the initiation of operation of the at least one tractor brake and the at least one trailer brake to brake the tractor-trailer combination, commencing operation of a timer that times the duration of operation of the at least one tractor brake and/or the at least one trailer brake. On a parameter related to the duration of braking effort timed by the timer reaching or exceeding a threshold value, the method then includes adjusting the braking effort applied by the at least one trailer brake in order to achieve or maintain a chosen braking performance of the tractor-trailer combination.
Vehicle braking control device
In a braking control device, a controller is configured to determine an inside and an outside of a turn by using the yaw rate, to calculate a deflection index based on a standard turning amount corresponding to a steering angle and an actual turning amount corresponding to a yaw rate, to reduce the braking torque of the rear wheel on the outside of the vehicle turn based on the deflection index when an excessive deceleration slip of the rear wheel on the inside of the vehicle turn is inhibited during an execution of anti-skid control.
AUTOMATIC TRAIN OPERATION SYSTEM AND BRAKE CONTROL DEVICE
There is provided an automatic train operation system which can stop a train precisely at a stop target position without worsening ride quality even with the control system being a discrete system. The automatic train operation system comprises a relative distance measuring device to acquire information about a relative distance of the train relative to a stop position of a station to output average distance information that is the average of relative distances and a brake control device. The brake control device includes a sensor information holding unit to hold speed information and position information detected by sensors to output; a correction amount computing unit to compute a specifying value correction amount to output; and an instruction planning unit to compute a deceleration specifying value based on the specifying value correction amount and sensor information.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING VEHICLE BRAKE FOR ASSISTING VEHICLE DEPARTURE
A method and the like for controlling a vehicle brake, the method and the like capable of reliably actuating a vehicle departure assistant system even with a particularly inexpensive component configuration.
In one instances, the method for controlling the vehicle brake includes: detecting a stop of a vehicle; determining whether a brake pressure applied to at least one wheel, whose brake pressure has been detected, through an operation by a driver is at least equal to an actuation pressure; activating a departure aid system when it is determined that the brake pressure is at least equal to the actuation pressure; determining whether brake pressure of a rear wheel, which is applied through the operation by the driver, is at least equal to a specified pressure that is required to stop the vehicle; and actuating the departure aid system to automatically retain the brake pressure in a state.
LANE KEEPING CONTROL SYSTEM
A road-surface-condition estimation device is configured by a tire-side device and a vehicle-side device so as to grasp a road surface condition based on road surface condition data transmitted from a tire-side device. As a result, the road surface condition or a road surface μ of a traveling road surface of a vehicle can be accurately detected, and a more accurate lane keeping control can be performed according to the detection result. In particular, since the tire-side device estimates the road surface condition by detecting the vibration of a ground contact surface of the tire, the road surface condition can be estimated more accurately. Therefore, the more accurate lane keeping control can be performed.
