Brake system
A brake system for a vehicle, including: a brake operation member; a hydraulic brake device configured to give a braking force based on an operation of the brake operation member; an electric brake device configured to give a braking force generated by an electric actuator; a regenerative brake device configured to give a braking force utilizing electric power generation by rotation of a wheel, and a controller configured to determine insufficient braking force by excluding the braking force by the hydraulic brake device from a required overall braking force required for the vehicle as a whole and to control the braking force by each of the electric brake device and the regenerative brake device based on the insufficient braking force, wherein the brake system is configured such that the hydraulic brake device gives the braking force when the required overall braking force exceeds a threshold.
Hydraulic Control Valve Brake System
A hydraulic control valve for an ATV or motorcycle takes hydraulic input from a hand brake lever as an input to a first cavity of the control valve with a movable piston therein, and from a foot brake lever as an input to a second cavity of the control valve with a movable piston therein, with the two pistons being linked. A bypass channel extends around the piston in the first cavity, which is closed off when the first piston moves longitudinally. The output of the first cavity hydraulically controls braking of the front wheel(s). The foot brake lever also pressurizes a direct line to brake the rear wheel(s) that doesn't go through the control valve.
METHOD FOR REGULATING A VEHICLE-ACTUAL-DECELERATION IN A VEHICLE WITH AN ABS BRAKE SYSTEM
A method for regulating a vehicle-actual-deceleration in a vehicle with an ABS brake system includes detecting the vehicle-actual-deceleration; determining a target vehicle deceleration and detecting at least one actual wheel rotational behavior. The method further includes calculating actuation times for actuation of pressure control valves of the ABS brake system associated with the wheels of the first vehicle axle and the wheels of the further vehicle axle and determining correction actuation times if at least one of the respective calculated actuation times is less than a minimum actuation time associated with the respective pressure control valve. Calculation of each of the respective actuation times is carried out at least for all of a first number of pressure control valves with which wheels are associated whose rotational behavior follows the at least one actual wheel rotational behavior.
Hydraulic System for Brakes
A hydraulic system for a vehicle in which the first and second brake valves are arranged in a parallel configuration. The pressure inlet of the first and second brake valves are connected to a source of hydraulic fluid and the exhaust outlets of the first and second brake valves are connected to the first and second brakes, respectively. The control inlets of the first and second brake valves are directly responsive to a braking signal from an operator of the vehicle. First and second control valves are configured to selectively provide hydraulic fluid to the control inlet of the first and second brake valves, respectively.
BRAKE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BRAKING A VEHICLE HAVING AT LEAST TWO AXLES
A brake system for a vehicle having at least two axles. The brake system includes a first axle unit which can be mounted or is mounted on a first axle of the vehicle and has a motorized brake pressure build-up device, a first wheel brake cylinder and a second wheel brake cylinder, and a second axle unit which can be mounted or is mounted on a second axle of the vehicle and is formed separately hydraulically from the first axle unit. The first axle unit includes a first outlet valve assigned to the first wheel brake cylinder and a second outlet valve assigned to the second wheel brake cylinder. The brake fluid can be let out of the first wheel brake cylinder via the first outlet valve and out of the second wheel brake cylinder via the second outlet valve into the connected brake fluid reservoir.
Braking control device for vehicle
A braking control device includes: a control unit that is configured to control front-wheel braking power and rear-wheel braking power based on braking power distribution and requested braking power; a distribution setting unit that is configured to set the braking power distribution; and a slip judgment unit that is configured to judge whether or not the vehicle is in a rear-wheel-led slip state. If it is judged that the vehicle is in the rear-wheel-led slip state when the braking power distribution is first braking power distribution, the distribution setting unit executes a distribution shifting process of shifting the braking power distribution to second braking power distribution within a predetermined period. The second braking power distribution is such distribution that the rear-wheel braking power is reduced relative to that observed when the first braking power distribution is set as the braking power distribution.

BRAKE SYSTEM
A brake system may include an actuating device, in particular a brake pedal; a first piston-cylinder unit having two pistons subjecting the brake circuits to a pressure medium via a valve device, wherein one of the pistons can be actuated by the actuation device; a second piston-cylinder unit having an electric motor drive, a transmission at least one piston to supply at least one of the brake circuits with a pressure medium via a valve device; and a motor pump unit with a valve device to supply the brake circuits with a pressure medium. The brake system may also include a hydraulic travel simulator with a pressure or working chamber which is connected to the first piston-cylinder unit.
Braking control device
A braking control device, when stopping a vehicle in a state where a braking force is being applied to the vehicle, executes a reducing control of reducing the braking force corresponding to a braking request before the vehicle stops and executes an increasing control of increasing the braking force corresponding to the braking request before the reducing control in order to suppress vehicle pitching behavior generated when the braking force is applied to the vehicle. The control device sets braking force increase amount in the increasing control based on a difference distance that is a difference between a first distance correlated with a vehicle traveling distance from a reduction start timing when the reducing control is executed until the stopping of the vehicle and a second distance correlated with a vehicle traveling distance from the reduction start timing when the reducing control is not executed until the stopping of the vehicle.
