BRAKING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A braking system and method includes primary and secondary cylinder assemblies. The primary cylinder assembly includes an expandable structure that controls movement of a first piston rod. The secondary cylinder assembly includes a second piston rod disposed within a second cavity of a second housing. A compressed fluid moves from the primary assembly to the secondary cylinder assembly responsive to the expandable structure expanding. The second piston rod moves from a resting state to a compressed state responsive to at least some of the compressed fluid being received by the secondary assembly. A fluid control assembly controls a position of a valve between an open position and a closed position to allow or prohibit the compressed fluid from moving between the primary and secondary assemblies.
PRESSURE CONTROL DEVICE, BRAKING SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD
A pressure control device has a device body partially delimiting a first circuit side opening, a second circuit side opening, and a conduit having a first conduit portion connectable to a first circuit to receive a first circuit fluid at a first circuit pressure and a second conduit portion connectable to a second circuit to receive a second circuit fluid at a second circuit pressure. A pressure adjusting mechanism controls the first and/or second circuit pressure to reach an actuating pressure. When at least one of the first and second circuit pressures is lower than a threshold pressure, the pressure adjusting mechanism prevents fluid passages between the first and second conduit portions to actuate either a first or a second braking device. When the first and second circuit pressures are both higher than the threshold pressure, the pressure control connects the first and second conduit portions to actuate the first and second braking devices.
Braking System and Braking System Provision Method
A braking system and method of providing a braking system includes: a rotatory braking element that is fixedly connected to a wheel or wheel hub in a manner to rotate conjointly with the wheel, a stationary braking element that is fixedly connected to a vehicle chassis, a brake actuator that is configured to actuate the stationary braking element so as to press the stationary braking element towards the rotatory element, a lever that is configured so as to transfer a force exerted by the brake actuator to the stationary brake element, wherein a pivot axis of the lever is in parallel with a rotational plane of the rotatory braking element and perpendicular to a horizontal caliper plane that is a plane that is oriented tangentially of the rotatory brake element, and an actuator axis is in parallel with the rotational plane and the horizontal caliper plane.
CLIP ASSEMBLY WITH REVERSIBLE ATTACHMENT MODULE
A clip assembly includes a frame having a conduit attachment portion having at least one conduit retainer, a module attachment portion having at least one module retainer, and a frame attachment portion configured to attach the frame to a body. The clip assembly also includes an attachment module removably attachable to the module attachment portion between a first orientation and a second orientation. The attachment module includes a base portion having a guide configured to be removably attached to the module attachment portion on the frame in either the first orientation or the second orientation. The attachment module also includes a retainer portion pivotably connected to the base portion and moveable between an open position and a closed position. The base portion and the retainer portion at least partially define a first conduit retention passage and a second conduit retention passage when in the closed position.
