Power and control assembly for an electric drive apparatus
A drive includes an electric motor disposed in a housing and driving a motor shaft, a Hall effect sensor adjacent to the motor, a power and control assembly, and a pinion gear driven by the motor shaft. A planetary gear reduction assembly is driven by the pinion gear, and an output axle has an axis of rotation that is offset from and parallel to the motor shaft axis of rotation. The reduction drive is substantially bilaterally symmetrical about a plane passing through the motor shaft axis of rotation and the output axle axis of rotation. The power and control assembly comprises a control board oriented perpendicular to a power board and includes a heat dissipation apparatus that applies multi-point, localized, indirect pressure to a plurality of field effect transistors mounted on the power board.
ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC BRAKE
A brake assembly comprising: (a) a caliper including: (i) one or more pistons, (b) one or more rotary to linear actuators that provides an axial force to move the one or more pistons, (c) a motor gear unit in communication with the one or more rotary to linear actuators, the motor gear unit including: (i) a motor, and (ii) an electromagnetic brake that prevents movement of the motor gear unit, the pistons, or both when the motor is turned off so that the brake apply is maintained.
Hydraulic block for a hydraulic unit of a hydraulic vehicle power braking system
For rotary protection of an external force piston of a power brake pressure generator of a hydraulic vehicle power braking system, axially parallel rotary protection grooves are provided at a circumference of an external force cylinder bore in a hydraulic block of a hydraulic unit of the vehicle power braking system, and tabs of the external force piston protrude into the rotary protection grooves.
ELECTRIC BRAKING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Provided is an electric braking device that transmits power generated by an electric motor MTR to a pressing member PSN and causes pressing force to be generated by the pressing member PSN with respect to a friction member MSB. Hysteresis characteristics in the relation between the power supply amount to the electric motor and the pressing force of the pressing member are detected each time a predetermined point in time arrives. Upon determination of a “holding state in which the pressing force is held constant”, a minimum value for a power supply amount that makes it possible to maintain the current pressing force is obtained on the basis of the most recently detected hysteresis characteristics and the power supply amount is set to a value determined on the basis of the obtained minimum value for the power supply amount.
