Vision training device
11413211 · 2022-08-16 · ·

A vision training device includes a main body, a lens unit, a drive motor, and a controller. The lens unit includes a plurality of lenses respectively having different diopter values and a lens holder that supports the lenses. The drive motor moves the lens holder so that one of the lenses of the lens unit is disposed on a line of sight axis. The controller controls the drive motor such that a test lens selected from the plurality of lenses is disposed on the line of sight axis and stores an accommodation time indicating a period of time in which the eye becomes in an accommodated state to the test lens.

Vision screening device and methods

A vision screening system for testing the vision of a patient is described herein. The vision screening system may include a vision screening device configured to perform a number of vision screening tests. For example, the system may be configured to determine or generate a graphical representation for display to the patient, via the vision screening device, to evaluate the health of the patient's vision and/or detect abnormal vision behavior. The system may be configured to evaluate image/video data recorded by the vision screening device to determine measurements associated with the patient during the vision screening. The system may be configured to analyze the measurements to generate a diagnosis recommendation associated with the vision of the patient. The system may also be configured to display the recommendation and/or the measurements, along with additional screening data, to a tester conducting the vision test.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EYE EVALUATION AND TREATMENT

A system for providing visual stimulation to a test subject having an amblyopic eye and a sound eye includes a screen and a controller. The screen configured to display image data, wherein each image data includes a first image data component viewable from a first angle and a second image data component viewable from a second angle, wherein the first image data component has an image quality that is higher than an image quality of the second image data component. The controller is configured to display the image data on the screen such that, when the test subject holds the screen, the first image data component is only viewable by the amblyopic eye of the test subject while the second image data component is only viewable by the sound eye of the test subject.

Photobleaching method

The present disclosure provides an improved method for photobleaching an eye of a subject. The disclosed method may be used in a number of psychophysical test methods, including, but not limited to, measurement of dark adaptation. The improved method for photobleaching involves at least one of the following improvements: (i) the use of a bleaching light emitting a particular wavelength of light or a tailored spectrum of wavelengths; (ii) restricting or otherwise spatially tailoring the region of the retina that is subject to photobleaching; and (iii) utilizing a bleaching light having an intensity that is at or below the intensity of ambient daylight. The present disclosure additionally provides a combination of a photobleaching light and an apparatus to administer a psychophysical test suitable for use in practicing the disclosed methods.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTION AND ASSESSMENT OF MARIJUANA IMPAIRMENT
20220104702 · 2022-04-07 ·

A method of identifying individuals impaired by a psychoactive substance such as cannabis. The method includes presenting monocularly to a subject being tested; to each eye separately, a sinusoidal grating pattern of fixed spatial frequency with achromatic contrast or color contrast between grating stripes being temporally alternately modulated at a temporal frequency that ranges between 10 Hz and 60 Hz with a pattern of the contrast being such that the subject being tested can see a frequency doubling in the grating pattern.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING A CONTRAST SENSITIVITY THRESHOLD
20220110518 · 2022-04-14 ·

A method and a device allow to determine the contrast sensitivity threshold of the eyes of a user in an automatic manner without requiring an experienced examiner or active attention of the user. The method includes: a) providing a dataset of track data including data of eye movements, wherein the eye movements are stimulated to elicit an optokinetic nystagmus in the eyes of the user and wherein the track data are related to a particular contrast and spatial frequency of the stimulus; b) estimating at least one velocity component of the eye movement; c) comparing the velocity component with a velocity threshold; d) comparing a fraction of the track data which exceed the velocity threshold with a fractional threshold for the dataset, which is classified as eliciting the optokinetic nystagmus at the particular contrast of the stimulus; and e) determining the contrast sensitivity threshold of the eyes of the user.

The present disclosure provides a gaming system including an application that can be implemented using a dynamic testing game, wherein the system does not require glasses, goggles, or any other headwear. The system enables a test subject to be screened and treated for vision dysfunctions while engaging with a dynamic video game.

VISION TESTING VIA PREDICTION-BASED SETTING OF INITIAL STIMULI CHARACTERISTICS FOR USER INTERFACE LOCATIONS

In some embodiments, initial feedback indicating threshold characteristics (under which a user sees initial stimuli presented on a user interface) may be provided to a prediction model, and a set of predicted characteristics (for a set of locations of the user interface) and a set of confidence scores associated with the set of locations may be obtained via the prediction model. Based on the set of confidence scores, one or more locations may be selected to be tested during a visual test presentation. As an example, the locations may be selected over one or more other locations of the set of locations based on the set of confidence scores. Based on predicted characteristics associated with the selected locations, stimuli may be presented at the selected locations during the visual test presentation. Visual defect information for the user may be generated based on feedback from the visual test presentation.

A first information processing device acquires an instruction signal for instructing an operation of a subjective optometry device, and transmits a drive signal for causing the subjective optometry device to operate as instructed by the acquired instruction signal to the subjective optometry device. When the first information processing device is remote-accessed by a second information processing device, the first information processing device can acquire the instruction signal input to the second information processing device by a user via a network. The first information processing device can further acquire a response input by an examinee who visually recognizes a presented target, and can further generate an instruction signal instructing the operation of the subjective optometry device based on the acquired response.
