Visual acuity measurement apparatus
11113985 · 2021-09-07 · ·

Provided herein are devices, systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for determining a visual acuity of a reader. The device includes a display adapted to present a first line of text to the reader and an input device adapted to receive signals corresponding to the first line of text. The device further includes a processor that is adapted to determine a reading score associated with the first line of text, generate an acuity parameter based on the reading score and the first readability vector, and determine the visual acuity of the reader based on the acuity parameter and a reference acuity parameter.

AUGMENTED REALITY PULSE OXIMETRY

One embodiment is directed to a system comprising a head-mounted member removably coupleable to the user's head; one or more electromagnetic radiation emitters coupled to the head-mounted member and configured to emit light with at least two different wavelengths toward at least one of the eyes of the user; one or more electromagnetic radiation detectors coupled to the head-mounted member and configured to receive light reflected after encountering at least one blood vessel of the eye; and a controller operatively coupled to the one or more electromagnetic radiation emitters and detectors and configured to cause the one or more electromagnetic radiation emitters to emit pulses of light while also causing the one or more electromagnetic radiation detectors to detect levels of light absorption related to the emitted pulses of light, and to produce an output that is proportional to an oxygen saturation level in the blood vessel.

TESTING A SUBJECT'S VISION
20210244268 · 2021-08-12 · ·

An apparatus (100, 200, 300, 400) for testing a subject's vision and a method of reducing intensity artefacts during a test of a subject's eye (109) are provided. The apparatus comprises: a light source arrangement (102) located towards a source end (104) of the apparatus, and arranged to produce polarized light; and one or more panels (108a, 108b, 108c), the one or more panels comprising one or more blocking regions that do not transmit polarized light, and defining one or more light transmitting regions (111), the one or more light transmitting regions (111) being just large enough to allow unobscured vision by the subject's eye of polarized light travelling directly from the light source arrangement when the subject's eye is positioned adjacent to a viewing end (106) of the apparatus, the one or more panels being located between the light source arrangement and the subject's eye.

Virtual reality (VR) system with nearsightedness optometry adjustment
11099385 · 2021-08-24 · ·

A virtual reality headset system includes a vision correction module. The vision correction system can detect a degree of myopia or other visual ailment of a user of the VR system, and then adjust a vision correction lens to adjust for user myopia. An implementation of the vision correction module can adjust right and left lenses separately.

METHOD FOR SECURING ADDITIONAL DEVICES IN AN EYE WITHOUT INTERFERING WITH VISION

A method of implanting includes steps of making a corneal incision of the eye, inserting the eye implantation device into the eye through the corneal incision and securing the eye implantation device by engaging the eye implantation device at three points with the iridocorneal angle of the anterior chamber of the eye into which the device is implanted.

APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DETERMINING ONE OR MORE OPTICAL PARAMETERS OF A LENS

Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of determining one or more optical parameters of a lens of eyeglasses. For example, a product may include one or more tangible computer-readable non-transitory storage media including computer-executable instructions operable to, when executed by at least one computer processor, enable the at least one computer processor to implement operations of determining one or more optical parameters of a lens of eyeglasses. The operations may include processing at least one image of an object captured via the lens; and determining the one or more optical parameters of the lens based on the at least one image.
