A suspension for a motor vehicle includes at least one internally hollow suspension arm, so as to define at least one inner cavity, and is characterized by comprising at least one duct extending along the inner cavity between an input hole of the suspension arm and an output hole of the suspension arm, the duct being designed to allow a fluid flow or an electric wiring to go from the input hole to the output hole through the inner cavity.

Tube nut assembly

A tube nut and a brake tube assembly are provided. A pipe is disposed within the bore of the nut. A first coating is disposed on an outer surface of the nut. The first coating has a corrosive resistance greater than the bore so as to promote corrosion within the bore. The corrosion forms a seal which is pinched between the bore and the pipe. The tube nut and brake tube assembly may include a second coating disposed on the bore. The first coating has a corrosive resistance greater than the second coating so as to promote corrosion within the bore.

A bicycle hydraulic operating system includes first and second actuating devices and a hydraulic operated device. The first actuating device includes a first operating member, a first master cylinder and a first master piston. The first master piston moves in the first master cylinder in response to operation of the first operating member. The second actuating device includes a second operating member, a second master cylinder and a second master piston. The second master piston moves in the second master cylinder in response to operation of the second operating member. The hydraulic operated device includes a slave cylinder and a slave piston that is movably arranged in the slave cylinder. The slave cylinder has a slave fluid port that is connected to first and second fluid ports of the first and second master cylinders. Operation of either of the first and second operating members moves the slave piston.

Automatic retainer valve

An automatic retainer valve includes a body defining a piston passageway and at least one piston positioned within the piston passageway, a brake pipe and reference volume in fluid communication with a first end of the valve, a brake cylinder in fluid communication with a second end of the valve, and an exhaust port defined in the body and positioned between the first and second ends of the valve. Pressurized fluid may be vented from the brake cylinder via the exhaust port upon a brake cylinder pressure exceeding a reference volume pressure. The brake cylinder pressure may push the at least one piston towards the first end of the valve until the brake cylinder pressure equalizes with the reference volume pressure.

Shuttle Valve with Damping

An example valve includes: (i) a valve body defining a first longitudinal bore therein and including a first inlet, a second inlet, and an outlet; (ii) a cage disposed in the first longitudinal bore coaxial with the valve body, where the cage defines a second longitudinal bore therein; (iii) a pin mounted and extending longitudinally within the second longitudinal bore at an end of the cage adjacent to the first inlet; and (iv) a spool shiftably mounted within the second longitudinal bore and configured to move axially therein to shift between a first position and a second position. The spool includes a blind hole formed at an end thereof facing the pin and coaxial therewith, such that as the spool shifts from the second position to the first position, a portion of the pin is received within the blind hole of the spool.

Method of controlling an aspirator valve

A method of controlling an aspirator valve of a vacuum assisted braking system that rapidly fully opens and closes the aspirator valve when an engine of a motor vehicle has been shut-down and the current conditions indicate that ice is likely to have formed in the aspirator valve. The rapid opening and closing of the aspirator valve breaks up any ice buildup thereby de-icing the aspirator valve and allowing normal aspirator valve operation.

BRAKE LINE ASSEMBLY

A brake line assembly including a brake hose and a connector assembly. The connector assembly includes a tube having a portion thereof the tube externally threaded; a flare nut defining a bore and through which the tube is inserted; and a fitting defining a bore configured to receive an end of the brake hose therein. A portion of a wall defining the fitting's bore is disposed adjacent the fitting's first end and is internally threaded. The threaded portion of the tube is engaged therewith. The fitting is disposed a distance from a flare on the tube adjacent a first end of the flare nut and when the flare nut is fixedly engaged with a component of the braking system, the distance between the fitting and the second end of the flare nut is sufficiently large enough to permit a head of a flare-nut wrench to be received therein.

SELF-SEALING HYDRAULIC DEVICE
20180229703 · 2018-08-16 ·

A self-sealing hydraulic device has a connecting assembly and a hydraulic assembly. The connecting assembly has an adaptor having a shell, a male fitting, and a barb fitting. The male fitting is mounted in the shell, is axially moveable relative to the shell, and has an axial hole and a radial hole orthogonally communicating with the axial hole. The radial hole is sealed by the shell. The barb fitting is connected to and communicates with both the shell and a hose. The hydraulic assembly is assembleable to the connecting assembly and has a housing, an elastic element, and a valve unit. The housing has a hydraulic chamber and an assembling hole communicating with the hydraulic chamber via a through hole. The elastic element is disposed in the housing.
