An automatic retainer valve includes a body defining a piston passageway and at least one piston positioned within the piston passageway, a brake pipe and reference volume in fluid communication with a first end of the valve, a brake cylinder in fluid communication with a second end of the valve, and an exhaust port defined in the body and positioned between the first and second ends of the valve. Pressurized fluid may be vented from the brake cylinder via the exhaust port upon a brake cylinder pressure exceeding a reference volume pressure. The brake cylinder pressure may push the at least one piston towards the first end of the valve until the brake cylinder pressure equalizes with the reference volume pressure.

MULTIPLE ORIFICE ASPIRATOR HAVING CUSTOMER-ADJUSTABLE FLOW VOLUME FOR USE WITH A VACUUM SYSTEM
20180202399 · 2018-07-19 ·

A manually adjustable aspirator is disclosed for use in a vacuum system for a vehicle having a vacuum source. The aspirator includes a passageway having a diameter that can be adjusted by a vehicle operator for different altitudes. The aspirator includes a body, a passageway having a narrowed aperture defined by opposed cones, and a manually adjustable flow adjuster having an adjustment knob. A brake booster is connected to the aspirator. An air intake is connected with a vacuum source and the aspirator. The cones include first and second cones each having a narrowed end. The narrowed ends are joined at a narrow aperture that defines an inner diameter. The flow rate adjuster regulates the size of the inner diameter. Adjustment of the knob allows operator selection between a high boost in a high altitude location and a low boost in a low altitude location having a higher source vacuum.

BRAKE CONTROL DEVICE FOR SADDLE RIDING VEHICLE

The pressure sensor functions as a first detection portion for detecting hydraulic pressure set according to operation of a brake pedal. The control unit detects the hydraulic pressure acting on the second piston portion through the pipe. The control unit controls differential pressure in the detected hydraulic pressure to a target value set according to vehicle speed.

Bypass check valve and venturi devices having the same

Bypass check valves, suitable for bypassing a Venturi gap, are disclosed and include a housing defining an internal cavity having a first seat and a second seat, and a seal member within the internal cavity translatable between a closed position against the first seat and an open position against the second seat. The second seat defines a support structure having a middle region of a predetermine height and a downstream side having a height that is shorter than the predetermined height of the middle region. The seal member is seatable against the second seat with a downstream portion thereof a further distance from the first seat than an upstream portion thereof.

Brake line anchor

Generally described, aspects of the disclosed subject matter are directed to an apparatus for anchoring a line, such as a line anchor suitable for use with the brake line of a vehicle. The brake line anchor includes a line coupling member to secure the brake line to the brake line anchor, and a mounting member for mounting the brake line anchor to the vehicle. The brake line anchor has a deflection control portion positioned intermediately along the length. The deflection control portion has a necked-down cross-sectional area such that the brake line anchor is configured to provide independent selection of the stiffness in each direction of bending and in axial compression/extension of the line coupling member such that the brake line anchor can be tailored to the mounting location and system in which the brake line anchor is utilized.

Distributor Valve for Russian Railway Vehicle
20180170339 · 2018-06-21 ·

A brake distributor valve for a Russian railway vehicle includes a body defining a brake pipe passageway configured to be in fluid communication with a brake pipe, a reservoir passageway configured to be in fluid communication with a reservoir, and a reference pressure passageway configured to be in fluid communication with a reference pressure source. The brake distributor valve includes a service accelerated release valve having a valve member with a first position where the brake pipe passageway is isolated from the reservoir passageway and a second position where the brake pipe passageway is in fluid communication with the reservoir passageway. The valve member is configured to supply pressure from the reservoir passageway to the brake pipe passageway during a brake release event, where the valve member is actuated between the first and second positions based on a pressure within the reference pressure passageway.
