Axle structure with asymmetrically arranged brake cylinders

The present disclosure relates to an axle structure for a motor vehicle, preferably a utility vehicle, for installing a first wheel and a second wheel. The axle structure has a longitudinal axis and defines a vertical reference plane which extends along the longitudinal axis, and the axle structure comprises a first brake cylinder, which preferably has a first central line and is preferably used to brake the first wheel, and a second brake cylinder, which preferably has a second central line and is preferably used to brake the second wheel. The axle structure is characterized in particular in that the first brake cylinder is arranged on one side of the reference plane, and the second brake cylinder is arranged on the other side of the reference plane.

An electromechanically drivable brake pressure generator for a hydraulic brake system of a vehicle. The brake pressure generator including a spindle drive unit for converting a rotary movement on the drive side into a translational movement for the purpose of actuating a piston of a hydraulic piston-and-cylinder unit. A gear unit is arranged between the spindle drive unit and an electric drive motor. A drive motor axis and an axis of the spindle drive unit are arranged radially offset from one another. The piston-and-cylinder unit and the electric drive motor are arranged on axially opposite sides of the gear unit.

HYDRAULIC BLOCK FOR A HYDRAULIC POWER BRAKE SYSTEM

To extend a power cylinder bore in a hydraulic block of a power brake system, a cylinder cover, which is in the form of a cylinder tube and is closed at one end, is fastened by means of a circumferential caulking in a fastening groove of the hydraulic block which encloses the power cylinder bore. An interference fit of a fastening flange of the cylinder cover in the fastening groove reliably seals the cylinder cover against the hydraulic block in a pressure-proof manner.

A braking system for an air brake vehicle includes a source of working pressure and a source of vacuum pressure. The system includes at least one brake actuator having a first chamber for receiving the working pressure, a second chamber for receiving the vacuum pressure; and a push rod that moves linearly in response to pressure in the first chamber and second chamber. A brake assembly is mechanically connected to the push rod for applying friction to a wheel end of a vehicle in response to the linear movement of the push rod.

Disc brake apparatus

A disc brake apparatus structured such that, on receiving a pressing force from an operating spring, a piston arranged within a cylinder formed in a caliper body presses a piston side pad. The disc brake apparatus includes a support part formed in a part of the caliper body, a reaction force receiver provided on and projected from the lateral side of the piston and opposed to the support part, and cam parts interposed between the support part and the reaction force receiver and, on receiving a rotation force, capable of spreading the distance between the support part and the reaction force receiver to thereby release the pressing force.

Apparatus for mounting an air disc brake actuator

An air disc brake system for a heavy-duty vehicle comprising an axle. A spindle is attached to an end portion of the axle. At least a portion of an air disc brake assembly is supported by the spindle. A suspension beam has an axle support portion connectable with the axle. An end portion of the suspension beam is spaced from the axle support portion for attachment with the heavy-duty vehicle. The suspension beam may pivot about the end portion of the suspension beam. An actuator actuates the air disc brake assembly. The actuator has a movable member to actuate the air disc brake assembly. Structure is associated with the suspension beam for supporting at least a portion of the actuator. A surface defines an opening in the suspension beam through which the movable member may extend or that may receive and support a portion of the actuator.
