DOUBLE-LIP SEAL OF PNEUMATIC SPRING BRAKE CHAMBER FOR VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a double-lip seal of a pneumatic spring brake chamber for a vehicle, the double-lip seal has sealing performance between an inner circumferential surface of a through-hole of an adaptor housing and an outer circumferential surface of an actuator rod to prevent degradation in sealing performance of the lip seal, thereby maintaining constant sealing performance and preventing fluid leakage.
Spring brake chamber
A spring brake chamber includes a first case, a second case, and a coupling case. The first case includes an open end, a closed end, and an open end portion. The open end portion of the first case includes a tapered outer positioning portion having a diameter that increases toward the open end. The coupling case couples the first case and the second case. The coupling case includes an open end closer to the first case and an open end portion. The open end portion of the coupling case includes a tapered inner positioning portion having a diameter that decreases toward the open end. The first case is positioned relative to the coupling case by attaching the outer positioning portion to an outer side of the inner positioning portion.
Vehicles and Braking Systems for Vehicles Having a Spring Brake Actuator with Replaceable Push Rod Assembly
A spring brake actuator is for braking a wheel of a vehicle and has a push rod assembly having a base located in a service brake chamber and a push rod extending from a service brake chamber. Pneumatic activation of the spring brake actuator causes the push rod to further extend out of the service brake chamber to thereby engage a wheel brake with a wheel of the vehicle. Pneumatic deactivation of the spring brake actuator causes the push rod to retract back into the service brake chamber to thereby disengage the wheel brake from the wheel of the vehicle. The push rod extends between a first end portion that is fixed to the base and an opposite, second end portion that is removably coupled to the first end portion so that the second end portion is manually attachable and detachable from the push rod assembly.
BALANCED CRIMP SUBSTRATE REINFORCEMENT FOR MOLDED PRODUCTS
A rubber molded product such as a brake cylinder diaphragm with a balanced elongation substrate reinforcement in both the warp and fill directions incorporated therein is provided. The fabric substrate reinforcement is woven without size and overfed after the weaving process leading to balanced crimp and elongation in the length and width directions. The fabric member is also woven with a reduced number of weft threads to start, but which are added back by overfeeding to further render the fabric elongation more isotropic in at least the warp and fill directions. The reinforcement substrate is placed in the mold along with the molding material and formed into the desired shape to assist in shape retention and overall structural stability. A method of forming a molded product including a balanced crimp reinforcement substrate is also provided.

Pneumatic anti-compound on service brake backup line
The disclosure relates to a pneumatic braking system comprising a service brake actuator; an electro-pneumatic modulator unit for receiving an air control pressure representative of a driver's braking request; delivering, by a regulation unit, a modulated air pressure to a service brake chamber; a parking brake actuator; a parking brake unit for delivering a second air pressure to a parking brake pneumatic chamber; and an isolation device for when the isolation device is electrically energized, preventing the delivery of the air control pressure to the regulation unit, and for when the isolation device is not electrically energized, allowing the delivery of air control pressure to the regulation unit when the second air pressure is higher than a threshold, and preventing the delivery of air control pressure to the regulation unit when the second air pressure is lower than the threshold.
Hydraulic power unit for a hydraulic vehicle braking system
A piston of a hydraulic power unit of a hydraulic power vehicle braking system including slip control is guided directly, without a cylinder liner, in a cylinder bore of a hydraulic block. The piston is rotatably fixedly and axially displaceably held in a bushing with the aid of an anti-rotation mechanism, which in turn is rotatably fixed at the hydraulic block. A pivot bearing of a worm gear for displacing the piston is fixed at the bushing.
