BRAKING CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A TRAILER
20170305399 · 2017-10-26 ·

A braking control system for a trailer includes a braking system on a semi-trailer with the brake application handle located at the inside rear of the trailer. The handle has a locking member so that personnel loading the trailer are able to apply and lock the brakes on the trailer, and only the person(s) holding the key are able to release the brakes. The system prevents the trailer from moving away from the dock plate and having the dock plate fall through the space between the moved trailer and the dock, injuring personnel and/or damaging equipment.

BRAKE ASSISTANT CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
20170305398 · 2017-10-26 ·

A brake assistant control system for a vehicle includes one or more sensors, to detect a movement state of the vehicle. The one or more sensor includes a g-sensor to detect acceleration of a movement of the vehicle, a braking force control unit to adjust a braking force of the vehicle, and a brake assistant control module. The brake assistant control module is coupled to all the sensors and can receive signals from all the sensors. When the motion sensor detects the vehicle is in a stationary state and the g-sensor detects acceleration of the vehicle, the brake assistant control module can increase braking force to slow the speed of the vehicle, through the braking force control unit.

LOCK FOR TRAILER EMERGENCY AIR BRAKE SUPPLY LINE COUPLER
20220055598 · 2022-02-24 ·

The trailer emergency air brake supply line coupler is movable between a control position, where air pressure in the supply line causes the trailer emergency air brakes to release so the trailer can be moved, and a park position where the trailer emergency air brake system is vented to automatically engage the trailer emergency air brakes. The lock includes a metal frame attached to the trailer proximate the trailer coupler. First and second spaced side walls extend from the rear wall of the frame on opposite sides of the trailer coupler. A retractable pin extends between the side walls and intersects the path of movement of the supply line coupler preventing movement of the supply line coupler between its control position and its park position. A lock cylinder, padlock or other mechanism retains the pin on the frame.

BRAKE CONTROL DEVICE
20170297546 · 2017-10-19 ·

A brake control device capable of preventing a braking force from being excessive when information cannot be transmitted between a first control unit configured to control operation of a boost mechanism and a second control unit configured to control operation of a hydraulic control mechanism. When a second ECU (32) cannot transmit information to a first ECU (26) due to a disconnection of a signal line (27), the second ECU carries out backup control of detecting a braking operation amount of a driver based on signal input from hydraulic pressure sensors (29), and operating a hydraulic pressure supply device (30) based on the detected braking operation amount, to thereby pressurize insides of wheel cylinders. In this case, the second ECU decreases a pressurization amount of a pressure inside the wheel cylinders when a pressure of a master cylinder (8) exceeds a predetermined value (PM0) during the backup control.

EMERGENCY CONTROLLER
20170297543 · 2017-10-19 ·

An emergency controller includes an emergency stop switch to be activated upon detection of an emergency, a control section to be enabled upon activation of the emergency stop switch, and an emergency stop mechanism configured to execute and release braking by a brake mechanism under control of the control section. The control section is configured to perform execution control for causing the emergency stop mechanism to execute braking by the brake mechanism and for stopping operation of the engine upon the condition that the emergency stop switch is activated while the engine is in operation. The control section is configured to perform restoration control for causing the emergency stop mechanism to release the braking by the brake mechanism upon the condition that the emergency stop switch is deactivated and the engine is started.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OPERATING A VEHICLE
20170291560 · 2017-10-12 ·

A method for operating a vehicle, the vehicle being guided in fully automated fashion, and if an error is detected during the fully automated guidance, a safe state being selected from a plurality of safe states as a function of one parameter, the vehicle being guided in fully automated fashion into the selected safe state. Also described is an apparatus for operating a vehicle, as well as to a computer program.

IMMOBILIZER ARRANGEMENT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR ACTUATING AN IMMOBOLIZER ARRANGEMENT

An immobilizer arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a brake that can be electrically actuated by at least one motor. The motor is controlled by a brake control, and with an immobilizer control that serves for activating and deactivating the immobilizer of the motor vehicle. The immobilizer control is configured to receive an authorization for deactivating the immobilizer from a user identification device. With the brake serving as the immobilizer, at least one current path is provided for actuating the motor, which is coupled to the immobilizer control.

METHOD FOR MONITORING AND DIAGNOSING COMPONENTS OF A RAIL VEHICLE BY MEANS OF AN EXTENSIBLE EVALUATION SOFTWARE
20170274916 · 2017-09-28 ·

A method for monitoring and diagnosing components of a rail vehicle, as a singular rail vehicle or as part of a rail vehicle train consisting of a plurality of rail vehicles, with regard to the necessary repair or maintenance, as appropriate, of at least one component, in which at least one measuring device captures at least one measurement variable, which is relevant to an assessment of a necessary repair or maintenance, as appropriate, of the component, is performed in which supplementation, extension, modification or adaptation of evaluation software implemented in an evaluation device is performed based on instructions, data and/or software modules sent from a control center to the evaluation device.
