Method of controlling braking of a vehicle
A method of controlling braking of a vehicle is provided to minimize heat generation in a brake system at a time of braking the vehicle while securing an appropriate braking force. The method includes determining whether an inclination condition for a road satisfies a preset condition, and when the inclination condition for the road satisfies the preset condition, performing cyclic brake control of alternately braking wheels of two or more different axles of the vehicle.
Control device and method for controlling traveling speed of a vehicle
A control device and a method for controlling traveling speed of a vehicle for the purpose of maintaining a vehicle speed equal to or lower than a pre-set downhill speed. The method comprises simulating a vehicle speed profile for an upcoming road section if braking at a pre-identified power level would currently be requested, thereby obtaining a predicted maximum vehicle speed and a predicted time until a vehicle speed equal to or within a pre-selected interval of the pre-set downhill speed is reached. The method further comprises, if the predicted maximum vehicle speed is equal to or below the pre-set downhill speed and the predicted time is below a preselected threshold time limit, requesting braking at the pre-identified power level or at an adjusted power level.
CONTROL METHOD AND BRAKE SYSTEM
A control method and a brake system are provided. The method includes: when a vehicle moves downhill from a stationary state, obtaining a stroke of a brake pedal in the vehicle, and when the stroke of the brake pedal is greater than a first threshold, controlling the vehicle to brake with a first braking force, for a vehicle speed of the vehicle to be within a target vehicle speed range. In this way, when the vehicle starts to go downhill from the stationary state, a driver may control the vehicle speed of the vehicle by depressing the brake pedal, to effectively avoid a forward surge of the vehicle, and implement stable starting of the vehicle, so as to effectively improve safety of the vehicle.
Method for ascertaining a continuous braking power, computer program and/or computer-readable medium, controller and vehicle, in particular commercial vehicle
A method for determining a continuous braking power for a vehicle, in particular a commercial vehicle, the method having the steps: determining an ambient temperature; determining a speed, wherein the speed is representative of the speed of the vehicle, in particular the commercial vehicle; determining a thermal emission per unit time of a friction braking device on the basis of the ambient temperature and the speed; and determining the continuous braking power of the friction braking device on the basis of the thermal emission per unit time.
