The vehicle steering control method includes: in a case where a current vehicle speed is less than a turning vehicle speed threshold, steering of a vehicle is controlled by an Electric Power Steering (EPS) to implement cornering of the vehicle; in a case where a cornering condition of the vehicle is not reached during the cornering of the vehicle, the vehicle is controlled by an Electrical Park Brake (EPB) to perform single-side parking to assist in the cornering of the vehicle; and after the single-side parking of the vehicle is implemented, closed-loop control is performed on an electric control booster, the EPB and the EPS, and the vehicle is controlled to turn under the cornering condition.

BRAKE CONTROLLER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING BRAKE
A brake controller includes a control circuit that calculates target braking force every predetermined period, in accordance with feedback control on at least acceleration or speed of a vehicle steered for parking; and a filter circuit that outputs, to a brake device, output braking force obtained by applying a low-pass filter having a predetermined time constant to the target braking force when the amount of change in the target braking force over time is within a predetermined tolerable range. When the amount of change is outside the tolerable range, the filter circuit outputs, to the brake device, the target braking force as output braking force or outputs thereto output braking force calculated by correcting smoothed target braking force, which is obtained by applying the low-pass filter to the target braking force, so that a difference between the smoothed target braking force and the target braking force is within the tolerable range.

A system and method for classifying an actuation of an electric parking brake of a vehicle. In one example, the system includes a sensor configured to sense a vehicle parameter, an output device, a data store including an electric parking brake usage profile, and an electronic controller configured to receive the electric parking brake usage profile, receive the vehicle parameter from the sensor, detect an actuation of the electric parking brake, and in response to detecting an actuation of the electric parking brake: determine a reason for the actuation of the electric parking brake, determine an attribute of the vehicle based on the vehicle parameter, classify the actuation of the electric parking brake based on at least one selected from the group consisting of a numerical value of the attribute and the reason for the actuation of the electric parking brake, update the electric parking brake usage profile based on the classification of the actuation of the electric parking brake, and output the updated parking brake usage profile to the output device.

A method for reducing jolt moments during a deceleration of a vehicle by a braking system, the braking system having at least one electrically actuatable pressure supply device, hydraulic wheel brakes and a valve device. The valve device is designed to apply a pressure provided by the pressure supply device to a selectable subset of the wheel brakes. The method includes: determining a braking requirement, determining a vehicle speed, checking whether the vehicle speed is below a defined threshold value, and if the vehicle speed is below the threshold value, selecting the subset of wheel brakes and applying a pressure provided by the pressure supply device to only the subset of wheel brakes, the pressure being determined according to the selected subset of wheel brakes.

A system for automatically parking a commercial vehicle comprises a service brake system having at least one braking valve, a braking controller for controlling the service brake system, and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) controller. The ADAS controller communicates with the braking controller and requests activation of the service brakes of the commercial vehicle until the vehicle is stationary. The braking controller, in response to the ADAS controller requesting activation of the service brakes, determines the commercial vehicle should remain stationary and activates at least one braking valve to exhaust system pressure to mechanically park the vehicle.

The invention relates to a method for operating a control device for a braking system of a motor vehicle, wherein the control device receives a braking request from a driver assistance system and determines a target value of a braking operation parameter of the braking system and determines an ideal temporal process for the braking operation parameter, which gradually leads to the target value, complying with a predetermined jerk criterion, and a determines a control fault of an actual value of the braking operation parameter in relation to the ideal process and determines a request value for a controller of a brake pressure pump of the braking system from the control fault on the basis of a controller unit. According to the invention, the control device determines a maximum achievable temporal gradient of the braking operation parameter by means of the brake pressure pump and examines whether the gradient fulfills a freezing criterion and, in the case of the freezing criterion being fulfilled, limits at least one control operation parameter of the controller unit and/or a gradient of the brake request.
