VEHICLE BRAKE OPERATION

A system includes a computer including a processor and a memory, the memory storing instructions executable by the processor to actuate a vehicle brake according to a specified brake torque, receive user input to exceed the specified brake torque, and actuate a brake fluid valve to attain a brake fluid pressure to maintain the specified brake torque.

Method and control device for self-braking a motor vehicle
10384657 · 2019-08-20 · ·

A method for controlling self-braking of a motor vehicle wherein a collision detection device predicts an imminent collision and determines for the self-braking a TTB braking time at which the self-braking is to start, and a brake system is operated in a standby state in which the brake system reacts to a braking request of the collision detection device with activation of wheel brakes of the motor vehicle, wherein the brake system requires a dead travel time to generate for the first time a braking torque by the wheel brakes starting from the standby state, for the self-braking. The method provides that a time period value of the dead travel time is made available in the motor vehicle, and the wheel brakes are activated at a starting time when the imminent collision is detected.

A control unit for at least one vehicle deceleration device of a vehicle. The control unit includes an electronics unit including a memory unit in which a characteristic curve is stored which specifies a relation between a first input variable specified by an operation of a brake actuation element of the vehicle, and a setpoint variable regarding a setpoint vehicle deceleration exerted on the vehicle using the at least one vehicle deceleration device. The electronics device newly specifies at least one characteristic curve value of the characteristic curve under consideration of a second input variable specified by the driver by an operation of an accelerator of the vehicle, a current traffic and/or environment situation, and/or an ascertained position of the vehicle and a position-specific item of traffic and/or environment information, and the correspondingly modified characteristic curve is stored in the memory unit.

An electronic brake system includes a caliper provided on each wheel configured to perform braking, a detector configured to measure a driver's step force or detect a braking pressure generated by the caliper and a controller controls a rotational speed of the motor based on a first rotation speed of the motor calculated based on a change in the magnitude of the braking pressure generated by the caliper, and a second rotation speed of the motor based on a change in the magnitude of the step force when the change in the magnitude of the step force satisfies a predetermined criterion.

CONTROL APPARATUS FOR BRAKE APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING BRAKE APPARATUS, AND BRAKE APPARATUS

A parking brake control apparatus acquires a first physical amount indicating a change in a current applied to an electric motor (for example, a gradient of a change in a current) at the time of an application operation. The parking brake control apparatus sets a second physical amount indicating completion of the application operation so as to make it smaller when the first physical amount (for example, the gradient of the change in the current) exceeds a predetermined threshold value, compared to when the first physical amount is equal to or smaller than the threshold value. The parking brake control apparatus determines the completion of the application operation when a physical amount indicating the application operation (for example, a current value) reaches the second physical amount.
