Method for controlling counter steering of vehicle during ABS braking

Disclosed may be a method for controlling counter steering of a vehicle, which, in a counter steering section for controlling over-steer while a vehicle travels a curve, prevents lateral force from being decreased by maintaining a braking pressure according to an operation of an antilock braking system (ABS) for a vehicle wheel (a front axle curve-travelling outer wheel) of a counter steering target at an optimal slip level (before an improvement of a target slip), and improves steering performance by forming a linear yaw rate in a direction for counter steering without a delay in forming the yaw rate.

One of the most popular and exhilarating stunts in off-road vehicle driving is catching air off a jump. Unfortunately, once the vehicle is in the air, the driver loses significant control of the vehicle. An electronic vehicle control system is described herein that addresses this problem. The system may include an ABS module, a shock position sensor, and an ABS override module. The ABS override module may be coupled to the shock position sensor and the ABS module. The ABS override module may receive a shock-extended signal from the shock position sensor indicating one or more of the shocks are fully extended. The ABS override module may send a stop-ABS signal that may prevent the ABS module from operating. The ABS override module may additionally be connected to a yaw rate sensor, the brakes, and the throttle, and may automatically control the pitch, roll and yaw of the vehicle.

ATTITUDE ESTIMATION APPARATUS AND TRANSPORTATION MACHINE

An attitude estimation apparatus for estimating the attitude of a movable body includes an attitude estimation unit for estimating the roll angle of the movable body and for using a calculation process to estimate the offset error for at least one of first and second angular velocity detection units and first, second and third acceleration detection units. The attitude estimation unit includes a plurality of Kalman filters that each receive at least two or more imaginary offset quantities for a detection unit of interest, the imaginary offset quantities being different from each other. Each of the Kalman filters uses detected values from the detection units, estimated values from the previous estimation operation and the imaginary offset quantities to calculate a likelihood, which indicates how reliable the estimated values are. The attitude estimation unit weights the estimated values from the Kalman filters based on the likelihood to estimate the roll angle of the movable body.

A method for operating a braking system of a motor vehicle equipped with a wheel-slip control device, wherein the braking system includes an electrohydraulic service brake, set to generate braking forces independently of an actuation by an operator. The system having a mechanical or electromechanical parking brake actuated by an actuating element, and acting, in particular, on the rear wheels of the motor vehicle. An operator-side intent to actuate the parking brake is recognized and subsequently during the actuation of the parking brake a hydraulic pressure of the service brake is generated that acts on at least one rear wheel, of the motor vehicle is capable of being braked by the parking brake. The hydraulic pressure sufficient to assist the parking brake and correspondingly lock the rear wheel of the motor vehicle braked by the parking brake during travel of the motor vehicle.
