The invention provides an automatic braking system and method and a vehicle. The automatic braking method comprises: entering an automatic braking process when a vehicle speed is less than a predetermined speed threshold value and a driver completely releases an accelerator pedal, wherein the automatic braking process comprises: detecting surrounding information by a sensing module; determining a target stop position based on the surrounding information, and determining a braking deceleration based on the target stop position; adjusting a motor and a braking system to slow down a vehicle at the predetermined braking deceleration and to stop the vehicle at the target stop position; and automatically activate an autohold system upon the vehicle stopping at the target stop position. The method and device according to embodiments of the invention can enable completely automatic braking and holding. Vehicle attitude control system
Disclosed is a vehicle attitude control system for controlling the attitude of a vehicle in which a road wheel suspension is configured such that a roll axis of a vehicle body inclines downwardly in a forward direction. The vehicle attitude control system includes: a lateral acceleration sensor operable to detect a lateral acceleration; a brake actuator operable to apply a braking force; and a brake control device operable, based on a traveling state of the vehicle, to generate the braking force, wherein the brake control device is configured to execute vehicle attitude control of applying, to an inner rear road wheel, a larger braking force when the lateral acceleration of the vehicle is relatively large than when the lateral acceleration is relatively small, thereby suppressing uplift of an inner rear portion of the vehicle body.

The driver assistance system includes an image acquisition part configured to acquire image information about an obstacle; a yaw rate detector configured to detect a yaw rate of a vehicle body; and a controller configured to, when a shift lever is diagnosed as failure, recognize a rotation direction of the vehicle body based on the detected yaw rate of the vehicle body, recognize a position change of the obstacle in an image based on the acquired image information, and recognize whether a moving direction of the vehicle body is a backward direction or a forward direction based on the recognized rotation direction of the vehicle body and the recognized position change of the obstacle.

An apparatus for determining a speed of a vehicle, in which the vehicle includes one or more sensors to determine a distance to or a relative speed of an object in an environment of the vehicle, and in which the apparatus includes a data interface and a processing module. A vehicle control system is disclosed for modifying vehicle operation and includes an engine control unit having at least one processor. A vehicle network is provided as well as a first handheld wireless device having a GPS module, a local wireless communication module, and a distance wireless communication module. A gauge has a wireless communication module operable to communicate with the first handheld wireless device and at least one display for communicating information to a user regarding vehicle operating parameters. Memory accessible by the processor and memory having software stored thereon are provided, the software being configured for execution by the processor and including instructions for providing a boundary map within which the vehicle may operate under normal operating conditions. The vehicle is placed in a degraded operating mode if the vehicle moves outside of the boundary.

A method for operating a vehicle brake system, wherein the brake system has at least one friction brake and at least one regenerative brake. A defined switching pattern is specified for switching between a self-cleaning operating mode for cleaning the friction brake and a normal operating mode of the brake system. The method includes determining information describing the state of the at least one friction brake, determining the state of the at least one friction brake from the information, determining whether the state satisfies a specific switching criterion, and, if the self-cleaning operating mode is to be activated according to the switching pattern and the state of the friction brake does not satisfy the switching criterion, suppressing activation of the self-cleaning operating mode and maintaining the normal operating mode.

A brake control apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a braking device configured to generate a braking pressure based on a hydraulic pressure to provide a main braking force to a vehicle; and a controller configured to control at least one control module selected based on the speed of the vehicle among a plurality of control modules including an engine control module (EMS) of the vehicle, a motor control module and a parking brake control module to provide an auxiliary braking force to the vehicle when the braking device is in an abnormal state.
