Also described is an electronic control device of the pressure control module having a board carrying electrical and electronic components, at least one inertial sensor being arranged on or at the at least one board and being electrically conductively connected to at least several of the electrical and electronic components on the board, in which an arrangement/apparatus ensures a lower vibration load of the inertial sensor on the board.
ELECTROMECHANICAL BRAKE SYSTEM
A brake system includes an electromechanical brake having a friction surface, a lining support, an electric motor for moving the lining support, a spring acting on the lining support, and a control and monitoring unit. A control and monitoring unit ascertains from at least one first value ascertained during a first movement of the lining support by the electric motor, an operating behavior value for a real operating behavior of an operating parameter of the relevant brake, and ascertains, by a comparison of the at least one real operating behavior value to at least one stored operating behavior expectation, a correction factor. The brake control system corrects by the one correction factor and activates a regulator of the electric motor using the corrected brake control signal. The control and monitoring unit is performs a calibration by a spring force of the at least one spring during the first movement.
Posture information based pedestrian detection and pedestrian collision prevention apparatus and method
An apparatus for operating a pedestrian detection and collision mitigation system (PDCMS) of a vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a front detection sensor that detects a pedestrian in a driving lane of the vehicle and a distance and a relative speed between the pedestrian and the vehicle. A vehicle sensor detects a vehicle speed and a controller executes the PDCMS function based on information detected by the front detection sensor and the vehicle sensor. A warning unit then outputs a notification to a driver regarding a collision of the pedestrian with the vehicle.
Brake lining wear detection with efficient signal transmission
A method for brake lining wear detection is disclosed. The method comprises detecting a wear state of a brake lining installed in the area of a wheel housing and producing a state signal that indicates the wear state. The method also comprises coupling the state signal into at least one electrical line that leads to an evaluation unit for the state signal. The at least one electrical line also transmits at least one other signal from or to at least one other device installed in the area of the wheel housing.
Actuation unit for braking system
Provided herein is an actuation unit for a braking system. The actuation unit for a braking system includes a piston directly or indirectly connected to a brake pedal, an electronic control unit, a hydraulic pressure unit, an electronic memory unit mechanically connected to the hydraulic pressure unit, and a position sensor configured to detect movement of the piston connected to the brake pedal, wherein a signal of the position sensor is corrected, and data for correcting the signal is stored in the electronic memory unit.
Signal-processing device for a vehicle having an ABS unit, vehicle, signal-processing method for a vehicle, computer programme and control unit
The invention relates to a signal-processing device (402) for a vehicle having an ABS unit (404) and multiple wheels, each of which is assigned a sensor (S1, S2, S3, S4) for wheel signal generation. The signal-processing device (402) is designed to detect (602) a failure of a wheel signal, to form (604) a substitute signal for the failed wheel signal using the wheel signal of at least one sensor assigned to a wheel that is not affected by the failure, and to supply (606) the substitute signal to the ABS unit (404). The invention also relates to an ABS system (400) having the signal-processing device (402) and an ABS unit (404), a vehicle having the ABS system (400), a signal-processing method for a vehicle having an ABS unit (404), a computer programme having computer code for carrying out the signal-processing method, as well as a control unit containing the computer programme.
Apparatus for controlling Anti lock Brake System of ESC integrated brake system and method thereof
An apparatus for controlling an ABS of an ESC integrated brake system and a method thereof. The apparatus includes a main master cylinder generating hydraulic brake pressure through a piston that is moved forward/backward by an actuator that is operated when a brake pedal of a vehicle is pressed down; and a controller controlling forward/backward movement direction change of the piston by controlling a driving current that is applied to the actuator by determining whether a direction change condition according the control state of wheel pressure is satisfied, when a brake mode of the vehicle is an ABS mode and the piston has reached a predetermined direction change position for forward/backward movement direction change.
STABLY BRAKING SYSTEM AND METHOD USING THE SAME
A stably braking system and a method using the same control wheels on a single axle of a ground vehicle. Firstly, at least one of a wheel deceleration and an actual slip of each of the wheels is calculated.
Hydraulic control commands are generated when a braking operation is performed in response to a braking indication signal and it is detected that the wheel deceleration or the actual slip is higher. The hydraulic control commands are configured to control a hydraulic braking system to adjust the wheel speed. When the ground vehicle drives in a straight line or turns with a first pose physical quantity, the hydraulic control command with a low priority is replaced by the hydraulic control command with a high priority and the hydraulic braking system is controlled to adjust the wheel speeds based on the identical hydraulic control commands.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A BRAKE SYSTEM OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A method for operating a brake system of an at least double-tracked motor vehicle comprises two breakable wheels, which are arranged at opposite ends of an axle, and a rollover protection system which can cause braking of the wheels in order to prevent a rollover situation. Automatic braking of that wheel of the axle which is loaded more greatly when cornering is brought about by way of the rollover protection system. Subsequently, a smaller steering lock angle or a lower lateral acceleration than in the case of the cornering which took place immediately previously, or a straightahead driving phase which immediately follows the cornering is detected. Thereupon, automatic braking of the two wheels on the axle is brought about.
