A tire physical information estimation system includes a physical information estimation unit and a data acquisition unit. The physical information estimation unit that includes a learning type arithmetic operation model including an input layer through an output layer and estimates tire physical information produced in association with movement of a tire. The data acquisition unit acquires input data input to the input layer. The arithmetic operation model includes a feature extraction unit that performs a convolution operation in an operation halfway between the input layer and the output layer, the arithmetic operation model outputting normalized tire physical information in at least two axial directions from the output layer.
Method and brake control for actuating a friction brake
For rapid and precise actuation of a friction brake, the thermal expansion of the friction brake is determined using a thermal model of the friction brake and therefrom the temperature-dependent shift in the contact point is determined for the braking operation and the temperature-dependent shift in the contact point is taken into account when determining the actuation measure of the friction brake to be adjusted.

BRAKE CONTROL DEVICE AND BRAKE CONTROL METHOD
There are provided a brake control device and a brake control method capable of estimating a rigidity change due to a temperature change, uneven wear of a brake pad, an inclination of a brake disc, or the like with a low memory load and with high accuracy up to a region with larger thrust than a measurement range. A brake control device controls a braking unit including a friction member pushed on a braking target member, a piston that abuts on the friction member and moves in a linear motion direction by rotation of an electric motor, and a thrust detection unit that detects thrust of the friction member to the braking target member. The brake control device estimates a relation between a piston position being rigidity of the braking unit, and the thrust, based on a first piston range that is a thrust change as a first inclination with respect to the piston position, and a second piston range that is a thrust change as a second inclination different from the first inclination, with respect to the piston position.
System and method for determining friction curve of tire
A system for controlling a vehicle by jointly estimating a state of a vehicle and a function of a tire friction of a vehicle traveling on a road uses a particle filter maintaining a set of particles. Each particle includes an estimation of a state of the vehicle, an estimation of probability density function (pdf) of the tire friction function, and a weight indicative of a probability of the particle. The system executes the particle filter to update the particles based on a motion model and a measurement model of the vehicle, control commands moving the vehicle and measurements of the state where the vehicle moved according to the control commands. A control command is generated based on the motion of the vehicle, the weighted combinations of the state of the vehicle and the pdf of the tire friction function weighted according corresponding weights of the particles.
