Autonomous driving control device
An autonomous driving control device is capable of starting an autonomous driving control without an operation of a driver and reducing a possibility that the driver can not start manual driving. An autonomous driving control is switched to manual driving when a determination section determines that the amount of operation by the driver is equal to or greater than a first threshold, before a predetermined time elapses since the autonomous driving control is automatically started. An autonomous driving control is switched to a manual driving when the determination section determines that the amount of operation by the driver is equal to or greater than a second threshold that is greater than the first threshold, after the predetermined time elapses.
Drive mode switch control device and drive mode switch control method
A drive mode switch control device acquires operation information. The drive mode switch control device switches a drive state among at least an autonomous drive state, a manual drive state, and a coordination drive state. The operation detection unit detects a first operation and a second operation based on the operation information when the drive state is not in the manual drive state. The second operation is the drive operation different from the first operation and input after the input of the first operation. The drive mode switch control device switches the drive state from the autonomous drive state to the coordination drive state based on a detection determination of the first operation. The drive mode switch control device switches the drive state from the coordination drive state to the manual drive state based on a detection determination of the first operation.

Multi-model switching on a collision mitigation system
Systems and methods for controlling an autonomous vehicle are provided. In one example embodiment, a computer-implemented method includes receiving data indicative of an operating mode of the vehicle, wherein the vehicle is configured to operate in a plurality of operating modes. The method includes determining one or more response characteristics of the vehicle based at least in part on the operating mode of the vehicle, each response characteristic indicating how the vehicle responds to a potential collision. The method includes controlling the vehicle based at least in part on the one or more response characteristics.
A CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
Aspects of the present invention relate to control system (100) for controlling a transition of a vehicle between a first driving mode and a second driving mode. The control system comprises one or more controllers, configured to: receive (302) a first request signal indicative of an occupant-initiated preparatory request; receive (303) a second request signal indicative of an occupant-initiated transition request; determine (304) a first control signal for controlling output of information to an occupant of the vehicle indicative of the driving environment in dependence on receipt of the first request signal; determine (308) a second control signal for causing transition of the vehicle from the first driving mode to the second driving mode in dependence on receipt of both the first request signal and the second request signal; and output (306, 310) the first or second control signal to a vehicle system.
System for an automated vehicle
A system for an automated vehicle includes a user input interface and an electronic controller. The electronic controller is programmed with instructions to operate at least one aspect of the automated vehicle, is configured to process information input through the user input interface, the information including data directed to predetermined parameters related to the at least one aspect of the automated vehicle at a predetermined location, and update the instructions based on the information to alter the least one aspect of the automated vehicle.

Driver Assistance in Low Speed Range
A method provides driver assistance in a motor vehicle in particularly dense and confusing traffic conditions in the low-speed range. It is possible to adjust the distance in dense traffic so that it is not too great whilst at the same time ensuring that the driver does not always have to vary the position of the accelerator pedal. The accelerator is controlled in accordance with the distance and thus the speed or accelerator is automatically throttled as the distance decreases.
AUTONOMOUS DRIVING METHOD, ADS, AND AUTONOMOUS DRIVING VEHICLE
In an autonomous driving method, a health physiological data range is added to an operational design domain (ODD) deployed on an autonomous driving system (ADS) as an applicable range of the ODD. The ADS receives real-time physiological data of a driver/passenger collected by a monitoring device. When a difference between the real-time physiological data and a health physiological data range is greater than a preset value, and a duration in which the real-time physiological data deviates from the health physiological data range is greater than a first preset duration, the ADS degrades an autonomous driving service being executed by an autonomous driving vehicle, and executing a first driving policy based on the difference and the duration.
Determining road safety
According to one example there is provided a method comprising selecting a first location from a set of locations and analysing, by a processor, data collected from a first vehicle located within a first distance of the first location. A first value representative of a first performance parameter of the first vehicle is generated. A second value representative of a second performance parameter of the first vehicle is generated. At least one of the first and second values is compared with a first threshold and, when one of the first and second values is greater than the first threshold, a safety alert is issued greater than (in some examples, less than).
