AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE HANDOFF ALERT
20180079358 · 2018-03-22 · ·

A vehicle alert system includes a processor programmed to receive a handoff request indicating a transition of a host vehicle from an autonomous mode of operation to a non-autonomous mode of operation. The processor is further programmed to output a notification signal in response to receiving the handoff request. A vehicle component is configured to deliver an electrical current to a vehicle driver in response to the notification signal.

Straddled vehicle

A straddled vehicle includes a front wheel, a rear wheel, an engine which generates a driving force and rotates the rear wheel with the driving force, a front wheel brake and a rear wheel brake which lowers the rotation speed of at least the rear wheel, a first detector which acquires and outputs a pitch rate, a second detector which detects and outputs information concerning rotation of the front wheel, and an ECU including a front wheel lift determination circuit which monitors respective outputs from the first detector and the second detector to determine whether a front wheel lift exists based on at least one of the pitch rate and information concerning rotation of the front wheel. When the front wheel lift exists, the ECU controls the driving source or the braking device so that the driving force is lowered or the rotation speed of the rear wheel is lowered.

Hybrid wheel loader

A hybrid wheel loader includes a control device (200) that estimates output power of an engine (1) and an electricity storage device (11) when the hybrid wheel loader is inferred on the basis of output values of detectors (62, 63) to be traveling towards an object of excavation in order to perform an excavating work, and then, if the output power is less than target power considered necessary for the excavating work, accelerates the engine (1) to a target revolution speed while increasing the electric power supplied from the electricity storage device to a traveling motor (9). Accordingly, power necessary for excavation can be drawn from the engine even when the engine revolution speed is low and there is a fear of power deficiency occurring at the time of the excavating work.

CRUISE CONTROL FOR LOW-SPEED VEHICLES
20250018944 · 2025-01-16 ·

A cruise control system for a low-speed vehicle is provided. A main control unit sets a desired vehicle speed based on a user input. When receiving an engagement position signal from a potentiometer, the main control unit reduces the power of a power input based on the desired vehicle speed and the maximum speed of the vehicle. A throttle position sensor powered by the main control unit regulates the speed of the low-speed vehicle based on the power output of the main control unit.

Rolling vehicle such as a mowing vehicle

A rolling vehicle (1) has a chassis (2) equipped with a pair of drive wheels (3) and a system (4) for controlling the rotational driving of the drive wheels having two motors (5) and a control device (6) for each motor (5).

Each control device (6) has a second sensor (9) for detecting the angular position of said associated lever (7) about the first pivot axis (XX), a memory (10) for storing the neutral position (PN) of said the lever (7) and a control unit (11) configured to, in the active state of the lever (7), control the speed and the direction of rotation of the associated motor (5) as a function of the data from the second sensor (9) and of the stored neutral position (PN). The control unit (11) is, in calibration operating mode, configured to order a storage of the neutral position (PN) corresponding to a datum supplied by the second sensor (9) at least as a function of the data supplied by the first sensor (8).

VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM WITH TRACK TEMPERATURE SENSING

A vehicle, method, and track control system for sensing the temperature of a track and controlling the vehicle's speed based on the temperature of the track. The track temperature may be sensed by a sensor embedded in a portion of the track, such as in a drive lug, a tread bar, or portion of the carcass. The temperature of the track may also be used to alert an operator of a track temperature issue or request that the operator reduce the speed of the vehicle.
