Systems and Methods for Controlling Torque Induced Yaw in a Vehicle
Systems and methods are provided herein for operating a vehicle in a vehicle yaw mode. In response to initiating vehicle yaw mode, the system engages an open-loop mode, that provides open-loop forward torque to the outer wheels of the vehicle and open-loop backward torque to the inner wheels of the vehicle until a sufficient number of wheels are slipping. In response to determining that a sufficient number of wheels are slipping, engaging a closed-loop mode. While operating in the closed-loop mode, one or both of the wheel rotation and vehicle yaw rate are monitored to adjust the torques provided to the wheels of the vehicle to control the vehicle yaw rate.
Agricultural work vehicle and control method
A working vehicle (2) for use in agriculture is configured for mounting a laterally protruding implement on the vehicle front or vehicle rear. The vehicle has an electronically controllable drive motor (4), an electronically controllable brake system (6), a sensor arrangement (8) for measuring rotational movements or rotational oscillations about at least one of three reference axes, and an electronic control device (10) for evaluating sensor data and for activating the drive motor (4) or the brake system (6). A data storage (50) stores threshold values for the sensor data. The control device determines characteristic values for the respective rotational movement or rotational oscillation and decides whether a reduction in travel speed is required in view of the threshold values. If true, the travel speed is reduced until the characteristic value reaches or falls below the threshold value.
METHOD FOR ESTIMATING A LONGITUDINAL FORCE DIFFERENCE ACTING ON STEERED WHEELS
A method for estimating a longitudinal force difference ΔFx acting on steered axle wheels of a vehicle, the method comprising obtaining data from the vehicle related to an applied steering torque M.sub.steer associated with the steered axle wheels, obtaining a scrub radius value r.sub.s associated with the steered axle wheels, and estimating the longitudinal force difference ΔFx, based on the obtained data and on the scrub radius r.sub.s, as proportional to the applied steering torque M.sub.steer and as inversely proportional to the scrub radius r.sub.s.
SELF-CONTAINED INTELLIGENT BRAKING SUBSYSTEM
A control system includes one or more processing circuits comprising one or more memory devices coupled to one or more processors. The one or more memory devices are configured to store instructions thereon that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to acquire speed data regarding current speeds of tractive elements of the vehicle from tractive element speed sensors of the vehicle, determine speed references for the tractive elements to perform autonomous driving operations where the speed references indicate speeds at which each of the tractive elements should rotate to accommodate the autonomous driving operations, and control at least one of a driveline or a brake system of the vehicle to selectively alter the current speeds of the tractive elements of the vehicle based on the current speeds and the speed references to accommodate the autonomous driving operations.
METHOD FOR SLIP CONTROL OF A VEHICLE WHEEL AND DEVICE THEREFOR
The disclosure is directed to a method for slip control of a vehicle wheel driven via an electric drive. The method including at least the following steps: driving the electric drive of the vehicle wheel using an actual drive torque in a torque control in a torque control step, determining a wheel speed and a wheel slip of the vehicle wheel and evaluating the wheel slip by way of an instability criterion as to whether an instability exists, upon recognizing an instability, direct or indirect transition in a slip control of the wheel slip to a setpoint slip by driving the electric drive, determining whether an end criterion for ending the slip control is satisfied; and, if the end criterion is satisfied, returning to the torque control in the torque control step.
Conveying Vehicle
Provided is a conveying vehicle that ensures efficiently travelling while suppressing vehicle slip. A dump truck 100 includes a vehicle body 101 provided with wheels 103 and a vehicle control device 300 and travels on a travel route. The vehicle control device 300 calculates and stores slip limit values at a plurality of positions on the travel route, reads out the slip limit values to calculate at least one of a maximum acceleration and a maximum deceleration of the dump truck 100 at which the wheels 103 is capable of maintaining a grip state against a road surface, and sets a target travel speed at a travel position between the dump truck 100 and a target position according to a target speed at the target position and at least one of the maximum acceleration and the maximum deceleration.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE, VEHICLE AND VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD
A vehicle control device includes a processor. The processor is configured to: output a torque command value related to a rotation speed of a wheel of a vehicle; specify an estimated value which is a value obtained by estimating the rotation speed of the wheel based on the torque command value; and determine a parameter based on an error between the estimated value and a measured value which is a value obtained by measuring the rotation speed of the wheel. The torque command value is determined by a feedforward control using a target value which is a value as a target of the rotation speed of the wheel and the parameter.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SPEED CONTROL OF WHEELS OF A VEHICLE
Systems and methods are provided herein for controlling the speed on each wheel of a vehicle, possibly operating a vehicle in a speed control mode. In response to receiving input to engage speed control mode and receiving an accelerator pedal input, the system determines a target wheel speed based on the accelerator pedal input, monitors wheel speed of each of a plurality of wheels and determines, for each monitored wheel, a difference based on the monitored wheel speed and the target wheel speed. A torque is provided to each of the plurality of wheels based on the respective difference to achieve the target wheel speed.

A hybrid vehicle is provided and includes an input that receives user selection for terrain mode and a HSG connected to the engine to operate as a start motor to turn on the engine. The HSG operates as a generator that performs idle charging when the engine is turned on. A battery is electrically connected to the HSG. A controller configured perform idle charging when SOC of the battery is less than or equal to a first SOC through the HSG by turning on the engine.
