METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR NVH-BASED VEHICLE POWERTRAIN CONTROL
20210370947 · 2021-12-02 ·

Methods and systems are provided for adjusting noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) limits for a vehicle based on an occupancy level of the vehicle. The occupancy level is inferred based on a number of occupants and their position within a vehicle, and further based on a degree of interaction of a primary occupant with vehicle controls. As the occupancy level decreases, NVH constraints for operating the vehicle are reduced and one or more vehicle operating parameters nay be based on the reduced NVH constraints.

INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, PROGRAM, AND VEHICLE

An information processing device includes a control unit. The control unit acquires biometric information and occupant information of an occupant of a vehicle, estimates state information of the occupant based on the acquired biometric information, and compares the estimated state information and the acquired occupant information with past data for another occupant in which the state information and the occupant information are associated with facility information of a service facility used, to determine a service facility fit for the occupant.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTEXTUALIZED VEHICLE OPERATION DETERMINATION

A method for determining event data including: sampling a first data stream within a first time window at a first sensor of an onboard vehicle system coupled to a vehicle, extracting interior activity data from the first data stream; determining an interior event based on the interior activity data; sampling a second data stream within a second time window at a second sensor of the onboard vehicle system; extracting exterior activity data from the second image stream; determining an exterior event based on the exterior activity data; correlating the exterior event and the interior event to generate combined event data; automatically classifying the combined event data to generate an event label; and automatically labeling the first time window of the first data stream and the second time window of the second data stream with the combined event label to generate labeled event data.

Method for operating a motor vehicle system of a motor vehicle depending on the driving situation, personalization device, and motor vehicle

The invention relates to a method for operating a motor vehicle system of a motor vehicle regardless of the driving situation. The method is performed by a personalization device of the motor vehicle and includes identifying the driver of the motor vehicle and using the identity of the driver to determine multiple driver-specific configuration data sets. Each of the determined configuration data sets describes configuration data of a respective user profile of the identified driver in order to personalize the motor vehicle system. The method further includes determining at least one additional occupant in the motor vehicle and using the result of the determination of the at least one occupant, determine an intention of the determined driver. The method further incudes using the determined intention to select a personalization mode from a plurality of personalization modes.

CONTROL DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR VEHICLE

A control device executes the following processes: a first process of detecting that autonomous traveling control is not able to be continued and executing stop control of a vehicle; a second process of determining whether a person is present in the vehicle; and a third process of unlocking a door lock of the vehicle when at least one person is present in the vehicle after the vehicle is stopped by the first process.

A system includes an inertial navigation system module (INS module) that detects vehicle yaw rates and vehicle lateral speeds, a controller circuit communicatively coupled with the INS module. The controller circuit determines a tire cornering stiffness (C.sub.f, C.sub.r) based on vehicle physical parameters and vehicle dynamic parameters. The controller circuit determines a vehicle moment of inertia (Iz) based on the vehicle physical parameters, the vehicle dynamic parameters, and the tire cornering stiffness (C.sub.f, C.sub.r).

VEHICLE CONFIGURED TO CHECK NUMBER OF PASSENGERS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

A vehicle, in a temporary stop state during driving, is configured to identify a passenger failing to re-board after alighting, and communicate with the passenger to guide the passenger to re-board the vehicle. A method of controlling the vehicle includes primarily checking a number of passengers inside the vehicle through analysis of a first image obtained by photographing an interior of the vehicle when the vehicle enters a stop state during driving; in response to the vehicle being restarted after the stop, secondly checking the number of the passengers inside the vehicle through analysis of a second image obtained by photographing the interior of the vehicle; and in response to the secondly checked number of the passengers being less than the primarily checked number of the passengers, identifying that the passenger failing to re-board after alighting from the vehicle exists.

System and method for actuating a vehicle operation power mode

A system and method for actuating a vehicle operation power mode that include receiving sensor data from at least one sensor of a vehicle. The system and method also include determining if at least one vehicle operation requirement is met based on analysis of the sensor data and actuating an electric powered operation mode of the vehicle based on determining that the at least one operation requirement is met. The system and method further include controlling the vehicle to be powered by electrical power supplied by an electric battery of the vehicle based on the actuation of the electric powered operation mode.

DRIVING ASSISTANCE METHOD AND VEHICLE-MOUNTED DEVICE
20220169269 · 2022-06-02 ·

A driving assistance method applied to a vehicle is provided. The method includes capturing at least one image of occupants of the vehicle using a camera module. Once occupant attributes of the vehicle are recognized based on the captured image, a driving mode of the vehicle is changed based on the occupant attributes of the vehicle.

VEHICLE AND VEHICLE CONTROL INTERFACE
20230271631 · 2023-08-31 · ·

A vehicle is a vehicle on which an ADK is mountable. The vehicle includes: a VP that controls the vehicle in accordance with an instruction from the ADK; and a VCIB that serves as an interface between the ADK and the VP. The VP outputs an accelerator pedal position signal in accordance with an amount of depression of an accelerator pedal by a driver, and outputs an accelerator pedal intervention signal, to the ADK through the VCIB. The accelerator pedal intervention signal indicates that the accelerator pedal is depressed, when the accelerator pedal position signal indicates that the amount of depression is larger than a threshold value, and indicates beyond autonomy acceleration of the vehicle, when an acceleration request in accordance with the amount of depression is higher than a system acceleration request.
