CAR ASSISTANCE SYSTEM TO ACTIVATE DISPATCH AND RELAY MEDICAL INFORMATION
A communication system for a motor vehicle having a plurality of seats includes a plurality of occupant sensors each detecting the presence of a passenger in a respective one of the seats. Passenger identification means identifies each of the passengers detected by the occupant sensors. A database stores medical information in association with each of the identified passengers. Detecting means detects that the motor vehicle has been in a crash. A transmitter wirelessly communicates with a remote emergency responder. An electronic processor responds to the detecting means detecting that the motor vehicle has been in a crash by causing the transmitter to transmit a signal to the remote emergency responder. The signal informs the remote emergency responder of the respective medical information and seat location associated with each passenger of the motor vehicle.
ADJUSTING DRIVING PATTERN OF AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
An approach for adjusting driving parameters of an AV (autonomous vehicle) based on the driving style of the passenger is disclosed. The approach utilizes existing driving patterns of the passenger and perform a dynamic comparison and correlation with safe driving patterns of the passengers themselves. Based on that evaluation, the approach would suggest the parameters for adjusting the AV driving style in order to ensure AV riding experience meets the expected level of safe and stress-less riding. Furthermore, the approach can dynamically adjust the driving style during the trip based on the reaction and feedback from the passenger.
Vehicle control systems
Apparatuses, systems, and methods are provided for the utilization of vehicle control systems to cause a vehicle to take preventative action responsive to the detection of a near short term adverse driving scenario. A vehicle control system may receive information corresponding to vehicle operation data and ancillary data. Based on the received vehicle operation data and the received ancillary data, a multi-dimension risk score module may calculate risk scores associated with the received vehicle operation data and the received ancillary data. Subsequently, the vehicle control systems may cause the vehicle to perform at least one of a close call detection action and a close call detection alert to lessen the risk associated with the received vehicle operation data and the received ancillary data.
Advanced passenger safety for an autonomous vehicle
Systems and methods can improve passenger safety for an Autonomous Vehicle (AV) based on the integration of sensor data captured by the AV's interior and exterior sensors. The AV can determine passenger occupancy data corresponding to where each passenger is detected within the AV by the interior sensors. The AV can determine multiple sets of one or more driving actions that the AV can perform at a future time. The AV can generate crash impact data corresponding to where each passenger is detected from one or more simulated collisions between the AV and one or more objected detected by the exterior sensors when the AV performs one or more sets of driving actions from among the multiple sets. The AV can determine ranked sets of driving actions based on the passenger occupancy data and the crash impact data.
Vehicle park assist
One or more parking sensors are configured to determine a distance between a vehicle and an obstacle. A controller is configured to determine a threshold parking distance based on an operating mode of the vehicle; compare the determined distance with the threshold parking distance; and provide an indication to a user of the vehicle based on the determined distance being less than or equal to the threshold parking distance.
Reducing pathogen transmission in autonomous vehicle fleet
An autonomous vehicle (AV) implements a health protocol that may reduce pathogen transmission between users of the AV. The AV is equipped with a thermal sensor that captures a body temperature of a user. The AV compares the user's temperature to a threshold temperature, and if the user's temperature exceeds the threshold temperature, the AV performs checks to ensure that the user's planned trip follows current regulations or recommendations. For example, the AV confirms that the user is traveling between the user's home and a healthcare facility. If the trip is permitted, the AV enables the user to enter the AV. The AV may include a disinfectant system for disinfecting the passenger compartment or surfaces after the user exits the AV.
Determination of authorizations when approaching locations with an autonomous vehicle
A method for operating an autonomously operable motor vehicle comprising: receiving location data relating to a planned location of a motor vehicle; determining whether the motor vehicle is authorized to approach the planned location according to the location data by using at least one of the following: a) personal data about at least one person using the motor vehicle; b) a number of persons using the motor vehicle; c) load data about a load that is being or is to be transported by the motor vehicle.
Vehicle control system
In a vehicle control system (1) configured for autonomous driving, and having a control unit (15) configured to execute a stop process by which the vehicle is parked in a prescribed stop area when it is detected that the control unit or the driver has become incapable of properly maintaining a traveling state of the vehicle, the control unit determines if a person is present within a predetermined range from the vehicle according to information obtained by a surrounding condition acquiring unit (61), the control unit causing the external notification device (14) to generate the acoustic notification at a first notification volume when a person is present within the predetermined range, and at a second notification volume higher than the first notification volume when a person is not present within the predetermined range.
PREDICTION OF A LIKELY DRIVING BEHAVIOR
A method for carrying out a prediction of a driving behavior of a second vehicle by a control unit of a first vehicle. Data of vehicle surroundings of the second vehicle, and/or data of a vehicle driver and/or of a load of the second vehicle being received by the control unit, at least one feature being ascertained based on the data and a likely driving behavior of the second vehicle being calculated by the control unit based on the ascertained feature. A control unit is also described.
DRIVER BEHAVIOR TRACKING AND PREDICTION
Methods and systems for tracking driver behavior across a variety of vehicles are described herein. One or more first performance metrics which indicate performance of a first vehicle when driven by a user may be determined. One or more second performance metrics indicating performance of a second vehicle when driven by the user may be determined. The first vehicle and the second vehicle may be compared to determine a vehicle difference. The performance metrics may be compared. One or more third performance metrics that predict performance of a third vehicle, different from the first vehicle and the second vehicle, when driven by the user may be determined based on the vehicle difference and the comparison. Whether to provide the user access to the third vehicle may be determined based on the one or more third performance metrics.
