SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A TRANSMISSION AND AN ENGINE WITH A COMBINATION PARK AND IGNITION SWITCH
A drive control system of a vehicle includes a vehicle speed module configured to determine whether the vehicle is moving and set a state of a signal based on the determination. A shift control module is configured to shift a transmission of the vehicle based on a signal from a range selector. Independently of the signal from the range selector, the shift control module is configured to selectively shift the transmission of the vehicle based on a signal from a combination park and ignition switch and the signal from the vehicle speed module. An ignition control module is configured to selectively shut down an engine of the vehicle based on the signal from the combination park and ignition switch and the signal from the vehicle speed module.
Working vehicle
A working vehicle includes a prime mover provided on a vehicle body, a first indicator light provided on the vehicle body, a second indicator light provided on a working device connected to the vehicle body, and an integrated controller including a first controller portion to control the prime mover, and a second controller portion to control the first indicator light and the second indicator light.
CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Provided is a control device for a vehicle. A control device for a vehicle includes a vehicle that includes an engine and a main motor, and a transmission equipped with first and second input shafts which are respectively connected to the engine via first and second clutches, an output shaft through which power is output to drive wheels, first and second transmission mechanisms which respectively includes a plurality of transmission gears selectively joined to the first and second input shaft respectively, and an ECU. When the main motor is driven and when the engine is stopped, the ECU determines that the vehicle travels using power of the engine using the transmission gears of one of transmission mechanisms in a case where defective engagement release occurs such that a transmission gear of the other transmission mechanism is not disengaged.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OVERRIDING VEHICLE LIMITATION SYSTEM
An override system of a vehicle includes a command module configured to: receive a concentration of a chemical in a driver's body measured using a chemical measurement device of the vehicle; and when the concentration of the chemical is greater than the predetermined concentration of the chemical, prevent movement of the vehicle. An override module is configured to, in response to receipt of user input indicative of an override request while the concentration of the chemical is greater than the predetermined concentration of the chemical, selectively generate a command to override the prevention of movement of the vehicle. The command module is further configured to, in response to the command, selectively allow movement of the vehicle.
Utility vehicle
A utility vehicle includes: a travel unit having a left-right pair of front travel apparatuses and a left-right pair of rear travel apparatuses; an engine capable of driving first travel apparatuses being one of the pair of front travel apparatuses and the pair of rear travel apparatuses; a motor capable of driving second travel apparatuses being the other of the pair of front travel apparatuses and the pair of rear travel apparatuses; and a control apparatus capable of switching between an engine two-wheel drive mode in which only the engine is driven, a motor two-wheel drive mode in which only the motor is driven, and a hybrid four-wheel drive mode in which the engine and the motor are both driven.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR APPLYING VEHICLE SETTINGS IN A VEHICLE
A method and system for applying vehicle settings to a vehicle. The method and system include receiving a device identification (ID) from at least one of: a first portable device and a second portable device. The method and system additionally include identifying a user settings profile that is associated to the device ID. The method and system also include determining if the user settings profile has been updated since a last ignition cycle of the vehicle. The method and system further include applying the user settings profile to control a vehicle system, wherein the user settings profile is retrieved from at least one of: a central user settings data repository, a telematics unit of the vehicle, and a head unit of the vehicle.
SECURE IDLE FOR A VEHICLE GENERATOR
Method and apparatus are disclosed for secure idle for a vehicle generator. An example vehicle includes an outlet external to the vehicle, a power inverter dedicated to supplying AC power to the outlet, and a powertrain control module. The powertrain control module controls the power inverter to supply first power level when a switch is in a first position and a second power level when the switch is in a second position. Additionally, the powertrain control module, after entering a secure mode, controls an engine to remain idling when an ignition switch is off.
SEMI-ACTIVE PARTIAL PARALLEL BATTERY ARCHITECTURE FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An automotive battery system that includes a lead-acid battery electrically coupled to a first bus, in which the lead-acid battery supplies electrical power to a starter via the first bus to cold crank an internal combustion engine of a vehicle; a lithium-ion battery electrically coupled to a second bus, in which the lithium-ion battery captures and stores electrical energy generated by a regenerative braking system when the vehicle brakes and supplies electrical power to the second bus using the electrical energy captured from the regenerative braking system such that a first portion of the second electrical power is supplied to an electrical system; and a DC/DC converter electrically coupled between the first bus and the second bus, in which the DC/DC converter controls supply of a second portion of the second electrical power to charge the lead-acid battery.
System and method for applying vehicle settings in a vehicle
A method and system for applying vehicle settings to a vehicle that include storing at least one user settings profile on a plurality of components associated with the vehicle based on a computing device that is used to create or update the at least one user settings profile. The system and method also include determining if the at least one user settings profile has been updated since a last ignition cycle of the vehicle. The system and method further include selecting the at least one user settings profile to be applied to control a vehicle system of the vehicle from at least one component of the plurality of components based on if the at least one user settings profile has been updated since the last ignition cycle of the vehicle and on a connection of at least: a first portable device and a second portable device to the vehicle.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FAST ENGINE STARTS WITH BELT INTEGRATED STARTER GENERATOR ASSIST DURING LOCKING OF DISCONNECT CLUTCH
A vehicle having an engine, a starter-generator, and a controller is disclosed. The controller is configured to respond to an engine start command, operate the engine to produce excess torque beyond a demand torque, and in response to engine speed achieving a threshold, operate the starter-generator to load the engine to consume the excess torque and drive the engine speed toward an electric machine speed, and engage a clutch to couple the engine and an electric machine.
