Start/stop device for initiating an automatic activation process of an automatically deactivated drive machine
A start/stop device initiates an automatic activation process of an automatically deactivated drive machine of a motor vehicle, in particular of a motor vehicle with an automatic transmission. The drive machine can be automatically deactivated when the motor vehicle is traveling, and the automatically deactivated drive machine can be activated on the basis of driver actions. The start/stop device is configured to initiate an automatic activation of the drive machine which is automatically deactivated when the motor vehicle is traveling on the basis of a detected drive dynamic desired by the driver.

The present invention realizes a vehicle control device that, even when power characteristics of a power generation device and a power transmission device changes, senses degradation of vehicle components, corrects a drive instruction to the power transmission device, and is thereby capable of stabilizing vehicle behavior over a long term. The present invention, in a predetermined vehicle environment state, measures fluctuation in drive power and acceleration in a transient region by using vehicle behavior sensors 4, performs comparison with a reference fluctuation, and thereby senses degradation of vehicle components. The drive instruction to the transmission 16-side is corrected in accordance with the degradation of vehicle components that is sensed. Thus, it is possible to stabilize vehicle behavior (performance) over a long term even when, during automated driving, the power characteristics of the drive power source and the transmission 16 change due to factors such as time degradation of vehicle components.
Temperature adjusting apparatus
A temperature adjusting apparatus is provided in a vehicle capable of performing an automatic driving. The temperature adjusting apparatus includes: an automatic driving determination unit that determines whether or not an automatic driving control is operating in the vehicle; a cabin temperature acquiring unit that acquires a cabin temperature in a vehicle cabin of the vehicle; and a cabin temperature adjusting unit that adjusts the cabin temperature. The cabin temperature adjusting unit is configured to control, when the automatic driving determination unit determines that the automatic driving control is operating in the vehicle and the cabin temperature acquired by the cabin temperature acquiring unit exceeds a predetermined range, temperature adjusting means provided in the vehicle, thereby executing a temperature adjusting control to adjust the cabin temperature.

A vehicle slip control apparatus to be installed in a vehicle including a drive source configured to output power to a driving wheel of the vehicle and a gear pair interposed between an output shaft of the drive source and the driving wheel includes a rotating speed detector, a slip determination unit, and a slip determination prohibition unit. The rotating speed detector is configured to detect a rotating speed of the output shaft. The slip determination unit is configured to determine, when an absolute value of an angular acceleration of the rotating speed detected by the rotating speed detector exceeds a set threshold, that the driving wheel is in a slip state. The slip determination prohibition unit is configured to prohibit the determination by the slip determination unit until a predetermined time elapses after a direction of torque outputted from the drive source is inverted.

A driver assistance system for motor vehicles, including a locating system for locating preceding vehicles and a longitudinal guidance module for controlling the longitudinal movement of the host vehicle as a function of location data of located objects. The longitudinal guidance module includes a driving path module, for defining a driving path ahead of the host vehicle, and an adaptive cruise control function, which adjusts a time gap between the host vehicle and a target object located within the driving path to a setpoint value. The longitudinal guidance module includes a dynamic function which, under certain conditions indicating that the target object will leave the driving path, modifies the longitudinal guidance function within the context of a more rapidly commencing acceleration in response to a command of the driver.
Hybrid vehicle transmission shift control for electric machine thermal management
A system and method for controlling a hybrid vehicle having an engine, a traction motor, and an automatic step-ratio transmission having a plurality of selectable discrete gear ratios, a torque converter, and sharing a common cooling fluid or oil with the traction motor, include a controller configured to shift the automatic step-ratio transmission to neutral in response to vehicle speed being below a threshold with the engine idling while temperatures of at least two of: the traction battery, the electric machine, and the transmission are above associated thresholds to reduce heat generation by the torque converter due to oil shear with the torque converter stalled. The controller may shift the transmission to drive in response to release of a brake pedal. A neutral shift may also be performed in response to high-voltage accessory loads or on-board generator loads exceeding a threshold.
Systems and methods for managing temperature of an electric machine of a hybrid electric vehicle
Methods and systems are provided for operating a driveline of a hybrid vehicle during conditions when a temperature of a motor/generator is increasing. In one example, a method is provided that adjusts engine speed as a function of motor/generator temperature while maintaining engine power output when driver demand wheel power is constant.
