SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING ENGINE PULL-UP THRESHOLD
20180009433 · 2018-01-11 ·

A system and method for modifying the engine pull-up (EPU) logic within a hybrid vehicle based on max motor torque that accounts for the drop or change in available motor torque due to the opening/slipping of a torque converter bypass clutch during engine starts is disclosed. An engine pull-up threshold is determined from max available motor torque at a virtual impeller speed, where the virtual impeller speed is the impeller speed that would result if the torque converter bypass clutch was open/slipping and transferring the same amount of torque.

The driving assistance apparatus is provided with: a determinator configured to determine a state of the assistance control. The determinator is configured (i) to determine that the state of the assistance control is a standby state if a standby condition is satisfied, wherein the standby condition requires that the first condition is satisfied, but the second condition is not satisfied, in the situation in which the target is recognized, and (ii) to determine that the state of the assistance control is an interruption state if an interruption condition is satisfied, wherein the interruption condition requires that the first condition is no longer satisfied while the satisfaction of the standby condition is continued.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE

A control system for an electric vehicle configured to simulate an engine stall which might occur in conventional vehicles while preventing the simulation of the engine stall in an unfavorable situation. A controller of the control system is configured to: execute an engine stall control to simulate a behavior of the conventional vehicle in a situation where an engine stall occurs by stopping a motor, when a virtual engine speed calculated by a virtual engine speed calculator falls below a predetermined speed; and execute a hold assist control to apply a brake torque to the wheel by the brake device upon execution of the engine stall control.

CONTROLLING MOTION OF A VEHICLE

A method for controlling motion of a vehicle, the method comprising the steps of: obtaining input information on a vector related to the velocity of said vehicle; computing repeatably a future trajectory of said vehicle based on said input information and trial torques to be applied to at least one wheel of said vehicle for optimizing said future trajectory in view of a target vehicle motion, thereby obtaining target trial torques; and applying the obtained target trial torques to the at least one wheel for controlling the motion of said vehicle.

Vehicle equipped with electric motor and parking control method therefor

The present disclosure relates to a vehicle and a parking control method therefor which can prevent a parking curb or a driving system from being damaged during parking due to collision with the parking curb or running over the parking curb according to creep torque imitation by an electric motor in a vehicle equipped with the electric motor. A parking control method includes determining whether a parking situation occurs, applying a creep torque modification coefficient to a creep torque until contact with an object that applies a reaction force to a wheel in a parking direction is sensed to determine a modified creep torque upon determining the parking situation, and variably controlling the creep torque by applying a variable coefficient to the modified creep torque.

Sequential simulated gear ratio calculation and rev-matching in a hybrid electric vehicle

Systems and methods are provided for simulating rev-matching in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). In particular, increased engine response is provided while downshifting during acceleration. The transmission of an HEV may include an electronic control unit that controls the speed of the engine to simulate gears, and increases the speed of the engine responsive to a driver using the gear selector to shift from one of the simulated gears to a lower one of the simulated gears, thereby providing the desired rev-matching experience. The increased engine response can be reflected in a target engine speed that is calculated based on specific gear ratios associated with each of the simulated gears.
