APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING POWER TRAIN OF VEHICLE
An apparatus and method for controlling a power train of a vehicle may include an external information detection device detecting information on an external environment of the vehicle; an internal information detection device detecting information on a driving state of the vehicle; and a control device detecting occurrence of an overtaking situation of the vehicle according to the information on the external environment and the driving state, and controlling the power train of the vehicle based on a rotation angle of a steering wheel of the vehicle so that a response speed to a manipulation of an accelerator pedal in the vehicle speeds up when the occurrence of the overtaking situation of the vehicle is detected.
CONTROL DEVICE
In a control device for a vehicle , state information indicating a state of a driver, environmental information indicating an environment around the vehicle, and vehicle information are acquired. An object existing in a vicinity of the vehicle to be alerted to the driver is detected from the environmental information. At one of a process for determining whether to output a warning that the object exists and a process for setting an intensity of the warning to be output is executed based on at least one of the state information and the environmental information when the detection unit detects the object. The warning is output according to a result of the process.
Vehicle-use rear side warning device and vehicle-use rear side warning method
An approaching moving object detecting unit that detects an approaching moving object existing within a predetermined range on a rear side of an own vehicle based on outputs of a periphery monitoring camera that acquires an image of the rear side of the own vehicle and a sensor that detects an approaching moving object, a relative speed detecting unit that detects relative speeds of an approaching moving object and the own vehicle, and a warning output determiner that, when an approaching moving object is detected and the own vehicle is attempting to change lane, causes a warning of a warning output unit to be generated when a relative speed detected by the relative speed detecting unit exceeds a reference relative speed with respect to which a lane change can be carried out, are provided with an object of restricting an excessive notification when notifying of the existence of an approaching moving object.
DRIVING DIAGNOSIS DEVICE AND DRIVING DIAGNOSIS METHOD
Provided is an event identification unit that is able to acquire a detection value indicating that a turn signal lever provided on a vehicle has moved from a neutral position to an operation position, and that determines whether a duration that is the amount of time during which the turn signal lever is continuously positioned at the operation position is less than a predetermined threshold when the event identification unit determines than the turn signal lever is positioned at the operation position based on the acquired detection value.
DRIVING SUPPORT DEVICE FOR VEHICLE, DRIVING SUPPORT METHOD FOR VEHICLE, AND A NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING A PROGRAM FOR CAUSING A COMPUTER
A driving support ECU (21) of a driving support device (11a) executes automatic deceleration control for decelerating a vehicle (10) without a driver operating a brake pedal (105) when it is determined that a specific condition indicating that the driver intends to turn the vehicle (10) to the right or left at an intersection present in front of the vehicle (10) is satisfied. When a direction indicator (34, 35) stops operating during execution of the automatic deceleration control, the driving support ECU (21) continues the automatic deceleration control until a predetermined time period elapses from a time point at which the direction indicator (34, 35) stops operating, and ends the automatic deceleration control when the direction indicator (34, 35) continues to stop operating from when the direction indicator (34, 35) stops operating until the predetermined time period elapses.
Curvilinear coordinate systems for predicting vehicle behavior
A method including generating a curvilinear coordinate system from a current position of the vehicle. The method further includes generating a probability distribution from the curvilinear coordinate system and predicting a future vehicle behavior of the vehicle based on the probability distribution.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PERSONALIZED SETTINGS FOR DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS
A system, apparatus and method for controlling operation of a vehicle. Driver assistance system (DAS) data may be used for controlling one or more function of the vehicle via a driver assistance system. Driver profile data (DPD) is generated and/or received that includes training data from sensor monitoring of a driver's usage characteristics for at least one feature of a vehicle type during a driver-controlled mode of vehicle driving. The DPD is processed with the DAS data to determine if the DPD conform to one or more safety metrics. A driver profile data file may be created by weighing the portions of the DAS data with the DPD that do not conform with the safety metrics. One or more functions on the vehicle may be controlled via the driver profile data file using the driver assistance system during one of a semi-autonomous and fully autonomous mode of operation.
Method for controlling a hybrid drive of a vehicle and a computer program for controlling a hybrid drive of a vehicle
A method for controlling a hybrid drive of a vehicle includes detecting a traffic and/or street situation ahead of the vehicle, and based on the detected situation, determining an upcoming increase of a performance requirement to be expected from the hybrid drive and increasing a withdrawal rate of an electrical energy source of the hybrid drive. This increase occurs before the performance requirement is realized. The performance requirement may be realized according to the increase of the withdrawal rate, e.g., in conformity with a performance requirement which may be entered via an interface, for example an accelerator pedal.
Vehicle speed limiting apparatus and vehicle speed control apparatus
A vehicle speed limiting apparatus includes an opening detection unit to detect an opening of an accelerator pedal of the vehicle; an estimation unit to estimate whether the vehicle starts a lane change; and an ECU to implement an upper-limit setting unit to set an upper-limit speed of the vehicle, a vehicle speed control unit to control the traveling speed so as not to exceed the upper-limit speed even when the opening of the accelerator pedal becomes great enough to make the traveling speed exceed the upper-limit speed, and a permissible speed setting unit to set a permissible speed higher than the upper-limit speed. When the estimation unit estimates that the vehicle starts the lane change, the vehicle speed control unit permits the traveling speed to exceed the upper-limit speed, and controls the traveling speed so as not to exceed the permissible speed.
POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE REINFORCEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF VEHICLES FOR DRIVING
A system includes: a first camera configured to capture first images of a driver on a driver's seat within a passenger cabin of the vehicle; a second camera configured to capture second images in front of the vehicle; a driver module configured to determine a driver and a present rank of the driver; a module configured to detect a condition based on at least one of (a) a first image, (b) a second image, and (c) a parameter measured by a sensor; a reinforcement module configured to: display the present rank within the passenger cabin; generate an output within the passenger cabin in response to the detection of the condition; when no conditions are detected, increment a rank period of the driver; selectively increase the present rank of the driver; and generate an alert within the passenger cabin in response to the increasing of the present rank.
