A method for enhancing driving safety is provided. A sound receiving unit receives sound with respect to a space of a vehicle. A processing unit determines whether an in-vehicle atmosphere is related to a negative emotion based on the sound thus received, and defines at least one of an unsafe driving condition or a safety enhancement program based on the determination. When a current operation of the vehicle meets the unsafe driving condition, the safety enhancement program is executed to enhance driving safety.

A system for generating a virtual engine sound may include a server having information on at least one review of the virtual engine sound, and a virtual engine sound generator to generate “my sound” by tuning the virtual engine sound based on information on customized design settings, to update a preset driver emotion model for each emotion evaluation area of the virtual engine sound, based on the information on the at least one review of the virtual engine sound, which is received from the server, and to update the virtual engine sound based on the “my sound” and the driver emotion model updated for each emotion evaluation area.
SENTIMENT-BASED NAVIGATION
Sentiment-based navigation is provided herein. A method can include extracting features of sensor data captured by a sensor associated with a vehicle, wherein the sensor data is representative of a subject selected from a group of subjects comprising an occupant of the vehicle and an environment in which the vehicle is located, resulting in extracted features. The method can further include determining sentiment data representative of an emotional condition of the occupant of the vehicle based on an analysis of the extracted features, and generating a navigation route for the vehicle from an origin point to a destination point based on the sentiment data.

A method adapts vehicle functionality that is automatically carried out by an assistance system. In a method in which misunderstandings between driver and vehicle are prevented in predetermined driving situations, when the driver aborts the automatically carried out functionality, this abortion is recorded and saved. If the abortion frequency exceeds a predetermined threshold value, the aborted functionality is replaced by a modified or new functionality.
INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS INCLUDING DIGITAL TWIN INTERFACE FOR A PASSENGER VEHICLE
A system for representing a set of operating states of a vehicle to a user of the vehicle includes a vehicle having a vehicle operating state, and a digital twin receiving vehicle parameter data from one or more inputs to determine the vehicle operating state. AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE CONTROL ASSESSMENT AND SELECTION
According to certain aspects, a computer-implemented method for operating an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle may be provided. With the customer's permission, an identity of a vehicle operator may be identified and a vehicle operator profile may be retrieved. Operating data regarding autonomous operation features operating the vehicle may be received from vehicle-mounted sensors. When a request to disable an autonomous feature is received, a risk level for the autonomous feature is determined and compared with a driver behavior setting for the autonomous feature stored in the vehicle operator profile. Based upon the risk level comparison, the autonomous vehicle retains control of vehicle or the autonomous feature is disengaged depending upon which is the safer driver—the autonomous vehicle or the vehicle human occupant. As a result, unsafe disengagement of self-driving functionality for autonomous vehicles may be alleviated. Insurance discounts may be provided for autonomous vehicles having this safety functionality.
PASSENGER HEALTH SCREENING AND MONITORING
Among other things, techniques are described for screening and monitoring the health of a vehicle user including receiving sensor data produced by a sensor at the vehicle, processing the sensor data to determine at least one health condition of the user of the vehicle, and in response to determining the at least one health condition, executing a vehicle function selected from a plurality of vehicle functions based on the at least one health condition.
