WRONG WAY DRIVING PREVENTION

An example operation includes one or more of initially determining, via one or more sensors on a transport, that the transport is approaching a one-way road in a wrong direction based on a slowing down of the transport and a movement of the transport toward the one-way road, notifying, via the one or more sensors, one or more occupants of the transport about the approaching, and in response to the transport continuing to approach in the wrong direction, slowing the transport, by a computer associated with the transport, to not permit entry into the one-way road.

AUTOMATIC TORQUE CONTROL SYSTEM

An automatic torque control system and methods for automatically controlling a torque of a vehicle are disclosed. The method includes detecting when the vehicle engages a load. The method further includes automatically decreasing the torque when the vehicle engages the load and prior to one or more wheels of the vehicle slipping.

A CONTROL DEVICE AND A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VEHICLE SPEED
20220340132 · 2022-10-27 ·

A method and a control device for controlling speed of a vehicle having an automatic cruise control system configured to automatically control speed based on a set speed and to automatically reduce the speed to a predetermined safe speed below the set speed as it is detected that the vehicle approaches a road section of a predetermined type such as a curve. The method includes while automatically controlling the speed towards the predetermined safe speed as the vehicle approaches the road section of the predetermined type, receiving a request from a driver of the vehicle to control speed to a temporary speed different from the predetermined safe speed and the set speed. The method includes in response to said request, controlling the speed to the temporary speed. The method includes at an end of the road section of the predetermined type, automatically controlling the speed based on the set speed.

IMMOBILITY DETECTION WITHIN SITUATIONAL CONTEXT

Embodiments for operational envelope detection (OED) with situational assessment are disclosed. Embodiments herein relate to an operational envelope detector that is configured to receive, as inputs, information related to sensors of the system and information related to operational design domain (ODD) requirements. The OED then compares the information related to sensors of the system to the information related to the ODD requirements, and identifies whether the system is operating within its ODD or whether a remedial action is appropriate to adjust the ODD requirements based on the current sensor information. Other embodiments are described and/or claimed.

PREDICTION FOR DRIVING MANEUVERS OF OTHER VEHICLES
20230085789 · 2023-03-23 ·

A method of classifying a driving maneuver performed by another vehicle in an environment of an ego-vehicle. In the method: a time series of a metrologically determined position of the other vehicle relative to the ego-vehicle that extends to a time step t is provided; spatial profiles of lanes in which the other vehicle may be located are provided; for a plurality of driving maneuvers from a predetermined catalog of possible driving maneuvers, conditional probabilities for the other vehicle to perform this driving maneuver at the time t are respectively determined with a predetermined model by using the time series of the position and the profiles of the lanes; by using these conditional probabilities, a most likely position and/or a probability distribution of positions of the other vehicle at the time step t is determined.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ASSISTING DRIVING OF VEHICLE
20220348207 · 2022-11-03 · ·

Disclosed is an apparatus for assisting driving of a vehicle including a camera installed in the vehicle to have a front field of view of the vehicle and obtain image data, and a controller to process the image data. The controller is configured to identify objects surrounding the vehicle and lanes defining a road on which the vehicle travels based on the processing of the image data, identify a lane in which the vehicle travels based on relative positions of the surrounding objects, and control the vehicle to change the lane based on a distance from the road on which the vehicle is traveling to an additional lane for entering an exit road.

VEHICULAR CONTROL METHOD AND CONTROL SYSTEM

A control system (1) for letting a vehicle travel by automatic steering is a system which includes a vehicle control part (112) which controls the vehicle so that a subject point set for the vehicle passes through a predetermined route, a subject-point selection processing part (113) which selects a subject point, and a subject-point updating processing part (114) which updates the subject point as a control subject as appropriate by setting the subject point newly selected by the subject-point selection processing part (113) as the control subject, and a highly-versatile system capable of automatic steering irrespective of the type of the vehicle or the shape of the route.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ADJUSTING VEHICLE LANE POSITION
20230093282 · 2023-03-23 · ·

The present disclosure includes systems and methods for adjusting the lane position of a vehicle. A radar system positioned on a first vehicle is configured to transmit radio waves and receive reflections of the radio waves, which produces radar data indicative of the reflections. At least one controller of the first vehicle is configured to identify at least one radar marker based on the radar data and to determine the location of the identified marker. The at least one controller is further configured to decode encoded information of the radar marker, where the information may indicate a condition associated with the roadway on which the vehicle is traveling. The at least one controller may then adjust the lane position of the vehicle based on the location of the marker and any decoded information.

PRESENTATION CONTROL DEVICE, PRESENTATION CONTROL PROGRAM, AND DRIVING CONTROL DEVICE

An HCU is to be used in a vehicle including an autonomous driving operation, and includes a function of a presentation control device that controls presentation of information to a driver of the vehicle. The presentation control device determines interruption of a second task other than driving permitted to the driver in an autonomous traveling period where the vehicle travels by the autonomous driving operation. Based on the interruption determination of the second task, the HCU changes a provision method of content provided in association with the second task in the autonomous traveling period.

A vehicle control device includes: a three-dimensional object detecting unit, an oncoming vehicle detecting unit, and an erroneous detection determination unit. The three-dimensional object detecting unit detects a three-dimensional object provided between a travel lane in which a host vehicle travels and an opposite lane in which an oncoming vehicle travels. The oncoming vehicle detecting unit detects the oncoming vehicle traveling in the opposite lane. The erroneous detection determination unit determine that the oncoming vehicle detected by the oncoming vehicle detecting unit has been erroneously detected when the oncoming vehicle detected by the oncoming vehicle detecting unit is present within a threshold range from the three-dimensional object detected by the three-dimensional object detecting unit.
