METHOD FOR HEATING AN EXHAUST AFTERTREATMENT SYSTEM AND A HYBRID VEHICLE ADAPTED TO HEAT AN EXHAUST AFTERTREATMENT SYSTEM
Method for heating an exhaust aftertreatment system in a hybrid vehicle comprising an internal combustion engine and an electric machine, comprising the steps of measuring an exhaust condition for the function of the exhaust aftertreatment system, determining if the exhaust condition is below a predefined limit, applying a load from the electric machine on the internal combustion engine when the temperature is below the predefined limit, in order to increase the combustion engine torque, charging the battery system of the vehicle with power from the electric machine, and disconnecting the electric machine from the internal combustion engine when the exhaust condition for the function of the exhaust aftertreatment system is above the predefined limit. The advantage of the invention is that the heating of an exhaust aftertreatment system after a cold start of a hybrid vehicle can be improved, such that the exhaust emission of the vehicle can be minimized.
VEHICLE
A vehicle comprising an internal combustion engine, a preceding vehicle information acquiring device for acquiring preceding vehicle information relating to a preceding vehicle, including a parameter relating to a distance between vehicles which becomes greater the wider the distance between a host vehicle and the preceding vehicle, and an electronic control unit for controlling the internal combustion engine, in which, the electronic control unit is configured to initiate an idle reduction mode where the internal combustion engine is made to automatically stop when a preset engine stop condition stands and to continue the idle reduction mode if the preceding vehicle is decelerating or has stopped and to make the internal combustion engine automatically restart if the preceding vehicle is accelerating or is running at an equal speed when the parameter becomes a first predetermined value or more during the idle reduction mode.
VEHICLE CONTROL APPARATUS
A vehicle control apparatus is applied to a vehicle including an engine as traveling drive source and a clutch device in a power transmission path connected to an output shaft of the engine. The vehicle control apparatus causes the vehicle to be in a coasting state by reducing power transmitted in the path by clutch device operation upon satisfaction of a predetermined implementation condition, and cancels coasting state by clutch device operation upon satisfaction of a predetermined coasting cancellation condition including at least an accelerator condition during coasting. The vehicle control apparatus includes a travel determination section determining coasting state of the vehicle, and a clutch control section performing half-clutch control during coasting at least at one of at the beginning of coasting and immediately before coasting is cancelled, the half-clutch control setting a degree of clutch device engagement to an intermediate degree.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING HYBRID VEHICLE
A method for controlling a hybrid vehicle includes: determining, by a controller, an operation mode of the hybrid vehicle based on operation state information of the hybrid vehicle; and controlling, by the controller, a first drive motor included in the hybrid vehicle based on angle information of a second drive motor of the hybrid vehicle provided by an angle sensor of the second drive motor when the operation mode of the hybrid vehicle is a hybrid electric vehicle mode. The hybrid electric vehicle mode is an operation mode in which an engine of the hybrid vehicle, the first drive motor, and the second drive motor drive the hybrid vehicle.
HYBRID VEHICLE
When a shift position is changed from a non-forward operating position to a forward operating position during a predetermined operation that shuts off gates of a first inverter and a second inverter and operates an engine, a step-up/down converter is controlled to gradually change the voltage of a high voltage-side power line toward a required voltage that is lower than a reverse voltage of a first motor.
CONTROLLING THE POWERTRAIN OF A VEHICLE
The power train of an electric vehicle includes an electric motor and a gearbox coupling the electric motor to a drive wheel. A controller may be configured to initiate a gear shift in the gearbox, and activate one or both of (a) a torque jog in electric motor, or (b) a burst of a pressurized fluid in an actuator to assist with the gear shift.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ASSISTING IN THE MAINTENANCE OF A VEHICLE SPEED WITHIN A SPEED RANGE, AND A VEHICLE COMPRISING SUCH AN APPARATUS
Method and apparatus for maintaining a speed of a vehicle within a target speed range. A plurality of coasting profiles are generated for the vehicle, each having an initial speed and a starting point on a predicted vehicle path. Each coasting profile represents a predicted vehicle speed over a time and/or distance from the starting point and is generated based on a geometry of at least a portion of the predicted vehicle path. At least one of the coasting profiles that maintains the speed of the vehicle within the target speed range is identified. A prime mover of the vehicle is controlled to place the vehicle into a coasting mode in accordance with the at least one identified coasting profile. Alternatively, feedback is provided to a user to place the vehicle into a coasting mode, such that the vehicle will coast in accordance with the at least one identified coasting profile.
Vehicle Control Device
The purpose of the present invention is to improve fuel efficiency during coasting by calculating, with high accuracy, travel resistance during coasting. This vehicle control device comprises: a first travel resistance acquisition unit that acquires a first travel resistance, which is determined on the basis of road information or external information; and a second travel resistance acquisition unit that acquires a second travel resistance, which is determined on the basis of the result of actual traveling of the vehicle. This vehicle control device determines the content of coasting travel control during traveling of the vehicle on the basis of the result of a comparison of the first travel resistance and the second travel resistance in a predetermined zone where the vehicle has actually traveled.
BRAKE CONTROL APPARATUS AND BRAKE CONTROL METHOD
A brake control apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a braking device configured to generate a braking pressure based on a hydraulic pressure to provide a main braking force to a vehicle; and a controller configured to control at least one control module selected based on the speed of the vehicle among a plurality of control modules including an engine control module (EMS) of the vehicle, a motor control module and a parking brake control module to provide an auxiliary braking force to the vehicle when the braking device is in an abnormal state.
Control apparatus
A control apparatus and method for a hybrid vehicle that searches for and determines a scheduled travel route and a downhill section included in the scheduled travel route on the basis of positional information of the vehicle and road information. The control apparatus determines a section from a downhill control start point to an end point of a target downhill section as a controlled target section. The downhill control start point is located a predetermined first distance before a start point of the target downhill section. When the vehicle travels on the controlled target section, the control apparatus executes downhill control. Even in a situation in which a target downhill section is newly determined during execution of the downhill control, the control apparatus continues the downhill control until the vehicle reaches an end point of the controlled target section for which the downhill control is started.
