A control method for a motor-driven vehicle is provided. The method includes calculating a correction torque of a drive motor through a difference between speeds of wheels or a variance rate of the difference between speeds of the wheels and comparing a calculated correction torque with a current required torque of the drive motor. When the calculated correction torque is greater than the current required torque, the drive motor is operated based on the current required torque. When the calculated correction torque is less than or equal to the current required torque, the drive motor is operated based on the calculated correction torque, or the required torque of the drive motor is corrected to correspond to the calculated correction torque and the drive motor is operated based on a corrected required torque of the drive motor.

A method of controlling a mode transition of a hybrid vehicle includes determining whether a mode transition from a first mode to a second mode is required based on a first torque, the first torque being a current required torque. A predicted gear shift time point and a predicted engagement time point of an engine clutch are determined based on the second torque. The mode transition to the second mode is performed when it is determined that the mode transition to the second mode is required and the predicted engagement time point is earlier than the predicted gear shift time point.

An off-board load power management system for an electrified vehicle is provided. The system may include a DC-to-AC inverter for providing power to auxiliary loads. Using a manual selector, an operator may select an amount of power to be allocated for inverter use at all time during vehicle operation. The controller may manage the distribution of power from a battery and/or generator to the powertrain and other vehicle accessories to ensure the selected amount for the inverter always remains available.
