System for vehicle noise and vibration reduction

A drive module for an electric vehicle having noise, vibration, and harshness counter measures. The drive module includes multiple covers and mass dampeners in order to detune vibration and noise from the cabin of the vehicle.

FRAME STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE

A frame structure of a vehicle includes: a first member composed of a metal plate, and a second member composed of a metal plate having a thickness thinner than that of the first member, the second member integrally connected to the first member by welding. The connection portion between the first member and the second member has an inclined surface configured to obliquely connect an upper surface of the first member and an upper surface of the second member such that the upper surface of the second member is positioned to be lowered than the upper surface of the first member in a gradual manner.

DASH PANEL ASSEMBLY

A dash panel assembly includes: a cowl inner upper panel coupled to a first side of a dash main panel; a cowl inner lower panel coupled to the cowl inner upper panel and the dash main panel, and configured to form a closed section with the cowl inner upper panel; and a dash cross upper member coupled to a second side of the dash main panel and configured to overlap the closed section with the dash main panel disposed therebetween.

AUTOMOTIVE SIDE DOOR STRUCTURE

A door structure system for a vehicle includes an inner panel, an outer panel, and an outer belt reinforcement member. The outer belt reinforcement member extends in a fore-and-aft direction of the door structure. The outer belt reinforcement member creates an overlap joint with a hem flange portion of the inner panel. The outer belt reinforcement member includes touch-down feature that extends toward the inner panel and into contact with a bearing surface of the inner panel that is stepped down relative to the hem flange portion. The overlap joint and the touch-down feature both contribute to an increased upper frame stiffness of the door structure and improve sealing performance between the door structure and the vehicle body structure.

Engine intake system

In an engine compartment, a separation wall is provided between an intake pipe, which runs around to a rear side of the engine from a lateral side of the engine, and the engine. On an outer side of this separation wall, a travel wind guide having a vertical wall portion that opposes the separation wall with the intake pipe being therebetween is provided. The travel wind guide guides vehicle travel wind that is introduced into the engine compartment in a manner to cause the vehicle travel wind to flow along the intake pipe on the outer side of the separation wall.

WHEEL WITH A SOUND ABSORBING DEVICE

The application relates to a wheel with a sound absorption device, wherein the sound absorption device is arranged in a wheel air chamber to reduce acoustic resonance, the sound absorption device comprises two resonance sound absorption structure units which are connected in parallel, a first sound absorption frequency band of a first resonance sound absorption structure unit and a second sound absorption frequency band of a second resonance sound absorption structure unit are adjacent to each other or partially overlap with each other, and the resonance frequency of the wheel air chamber is contained at the adjacent part of the first sound absorption frequency band and the second sound absorption frequency band or in the overlapping area of the first sound absorption frequency band and the second sound absorption frequency band.

Method for Actuating a Dosing Valve, Tank Ventilation System, and Motor Vehicle
20220136463 · 2022-05-05 ·

A method actuates a dosing valve of a tank ventilation system. The dosing valve is opened not only once but twice at every activation time, and thus a generated pressure wave is depleted. An associated tank ventilation system and an associated motor vehicle make use of the method.

A valve device includes: a housing; a float valve; and a float valve support portion. The float valve support portion includes a support wall, a side wall, a first slit formed in the support wall, a second slit formed in the side wall, and an elastic piece defined by the first slit and the second slit. The elastic piece includes a first extending portion extending along the side wall, and a second extending portion extending from the first extending portion and capable of coming into contact with a bottom surface of the float valve.

VIBRATION ATTENUATION OF MATING GEARS IN A POWER TAKE-OFF
20220024305 · 2022-01-27 · ·

A power take-off includes a housing including a mounting surface that is adapted to be secured to a source of rotational energy. The mounting surface has an opening therethrough. An input mechanism includes an input gear that has a portion that extends outwardly from the housing through the opening provided through the mounting surface and is adapted to extend within and be rotatably driven about an input gear rotational axis by a driving gear contained within the source of rotational energy. An output mechanism is disposed within the housing and includes a driven gear that is rotatably driven about an output gear rotational axis by the input gear of the input mechanism. The rotational axis of the input gear and the rotational axis of the driven gear are movable relative to one another so as to minimize the transmission of torque transients and other vibrations therethrough during operation.
