A vehicle includes: at least one rotary electric machine; an inverter that drives the rotary electric machine; a capacitor connected between a paired electric power lines that is connected to the inverter; and a control unit. When a vehicle collision is detected, the control unit executes first control for discharging electric charges stored in the capacitor by performing a switching operation of the inverter so as to prevent a flow of a q-axis current but cause a flow of a d-axis current to the rotary electric machine. The control unit stops the first control in a specified case and executes second control for performing the switching operation of the inverter so as to reduce the current flowing through the rotary electric machine to be lower than that during execution of the first control. The control unit executes third control for shutting down the inverter after execution of the second control.

A fuel tank system for a vehicle includes a fuel tank, a fuel supply passage, a canister, an evaporated fuel gas supply passage, a communication passage, a backflow prevention device, first and second pressure measurement devices, and a control device. The fuel tank stores fuel supplied by the fuel supply passage. The canister adsorbs evaporated fuel gas generated in the fuel tank and supplied through the evaporated fuel gas supply passage. The backflow prevention device is provided in a pipe line of the fuel supply passage, and prevents a backflow of the fuel from the fuel tank. The first and second pressure measurement devices respectively measure pressures in the fuel supply passage and the evaporated fuel gas supply passage. The control device diagnoses the communication passage as being blocked when a difference between pressure values measured by the first and second pressure measurement devices exceeds a predetermined value.

An all-wheel-drive vehicle includes a primary drive axle, a secondary drive axle, and an all-wheel-drive powertrain configured to selectively power the primary and secondary axles. The powertrain includes a powerplant and a clutch that couples the powerplant to the secondary axle when engaged and that decouples the powerplant from the secondary axle when disengaged. A controller is programmed to disengage the clutch to disable all-wheel drive and propel the vehicle solely with the primary drive axle based on repeated occurrence of power output of the powertrain being less than a value.
