INTERMODEL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
20210070327 · 2021-03-11 ·

A system for improved intermodal freight transportation is described herein. Improved carriages and support trusses are provided that beneficially move the load-bearing structure to interconnected support trusses forming a top-end spine of the train with freight containers equipped with wheels hanging underneath. Upon entering a terminal, the floor adjacent to the rails may be configured to gradually rise until the container's wheels are supporting the container's weight. When properly aligned with a container exchange station, the container's connections to the train may be configured to release the container from the train, and the container's wheels may be configured to pivot, allowing the container to be rolled to the side of the train and replaced by another. This may allow the container to be replaced without having to lift the container or disconnect any of the rolling stock components.

Methods, Systems and Devices for Efficient and Rapid Autonomous Delivery of Goods

A cargo transportation, transfer and delivery method and system is disclosed where the primary distances traveled by the cargo in a cargo carrying vehicle, called a transporter need not stop to load or unload cargo. The transporter is designed to hold cargo in standardized cargo containers that have been designed to hold a multitude of package or product sizes, types, and weights. These containers are further designed with a motion control and constraining system to aid in the reliable transfer and holding of the cargo containers within the transporter and when being transferred onto and off of the transporter. The containers are further designed to be readily and reliably moved by a cargo transfer system which moves containers on to and off of the transporter. The transporter travels through a tubular passage that may be above ground or below ground allowing it to bypass and otherwise avoid roads which are subject to many traffic starts and stops.

Rail and Train System

A rail and train system has at least a rail pair on which a rail vehicle that is provided with at least one wagon is movable. In the wagon, at least one lifting device is accommodated with which containers can be transported through an opening in the floor of the wagon and which is movable transverse to the length direction of the wagon. The rail vehicle can be provided with a chassis that is formed by two chassis parts that are positioned at a distance behind each other in the travel direction.

Drone railway system
10836406 · 2020-11-17 ·

A drone railway system comprises a rail comprising a contact surface and an interconnect member having a drone connecting end and a rail engaging end, wherein the rail engaging end comprises a contacting member. The rail engaging end is selectively engageable with the rail so the contacting member can contact the contact surface and selectively disengageable with the rail so the drone and interconnect member can fly away from the rail, whereby the drone and interconnect member are able to travel along the length of the rail when the rail engaging end is engaged with the rail. A method of flying a drone comprises engaging a rail with the drone by contacting a contact surface of the rail with a contacting member associated with the drone; traveling along a length of the rail with the contacting member contacting the contact surface of the rail; selectively disengaging the drone from the rail; and flying away from the rail.

CONTAINER SYSTEM FOR TRANSPORTING AND STORING PROPPANT
20200346880 · 2020-11-05 · ·

A method is disclosed for storing and moving proppant. A supply of fracking proppant is provided at a remote location. A plurality of containers are provided to the desired location, each container having a top, a plurality of walls extending from the top and terminating at an outlet for discharge of proppant therefrom and a flow gate positioned adjacent the outlet to control flow of proppant from an interior volume of the container through the outlet. The plurality of containers are filled with fracking proppant at the remote location, then transported from the remote location to a well site location. The plurality of containers are staged at the well site location and the amount of proppant on hand at the well site location is tracked.

Device, system and method for ground line haul

A device for transporting freight articles in a ground or rail haul operations comprises a hollow housing including four corner sections, side walls, two center sections defining four openings each disposed between one edge of a center section and an edge of a respective corner section, a bottom portion and a top portion, wherein the two center portions are manufactured from see through or clear material. A door is mounted to selectively open and close a respective opening and swinging outwardly and towards a respective corner portion to selectively open the respective opening. Two channels are provided in the bottom portion, each in open communication with opposite sides of the bottom portion. Four feet or wheels are mounted on the bottom portion. Four receptacles are provided in the top portion, each sized and shaped to receive a foot therewithin.

The present disclosure relates to an autonomous rail transport system with the aid of a rail network. The rail transport system according to the disclosure comprises at least one autonomous goods-carrying rail vehicle and at least two autonomous goods terminals. The goods-carrying rail vehicle is designed to transport at least one item of goods while the goods terminals are each designed to receive and/or release at least one item of goods. The item of goods is transported autonomously from a first goods terminal to a second goods terminal with the aid of the goods-carrying rail vehicle on the rail network. The rail network of the rail transport system according to the disclosure is a streetcar-line network.

Method of delivering, transporting, and storing proppant for delivery and use at a well site
10703587 · 2020-07-07 · ·

A method of delivering proppant to a well site has the steps of transporting a load of proppant in a vessel to a desired location, moving the load of proppant from the vessel into a container so as to create a proppant-loaded container, unloading the proppant-loaded container into a pneumatic bulk trailer, and transporting the unloaded proppant in the pneumatic bulk trailer to well site. The container is placed onto a bed of a truck and moved in proximity to the vessel. The proppant-loaded container is placed onto a tilting mechanism and then tilted so that the proppant is discharged through a flow gate of a container into a hopper. The proppant in the hopper can then be conveyed to the pneumatic bulk trailer.
