A system for transporting one or more items is provided. The system includes: a transportation tube disposed at least partially underground or at least partially above ground; a transportation pod to secure items therein for transport; a transportation actuator to propel the transportation pod through the transportation tube, the transportation actuator including one or more pumps coupled to the transportation tube and configured to pressurize a fluid medium through the transportation tube such that the pressurized fluid medium propels the transportation pod through the transportation tube; a first access point located proximate a first end of the transportation tube; and a second access point located proximate a second end of the transportation tube. Each of the first and second access points includes an opening configured to allow the transportation pod to be received into or removed from the transportation tube.

A system for transporting one or more items is provided. A platform-door control system includes an on-board control apparatus provided in a train, and a platform-door control apparatus. The on-board control apparatus includes: a ground-coil information storage unit to store information on a ground coil located on a track on which the train runs; a train-position detection unit to detect a position of the train; a train stop-position specification unit to determine a train stop position on the basis of stored information on the ground coil, and train position information detected by the train-position detection unit; a vehicle-door specification unit to determine a vehicle door of the train to be opened/closed, on the basis of the determined train stop position; and a vehicle-door information output unit to output determined vehicle door information of the train. The platform-door control apparatus receives the vehicle door information output from the vehicle-door information output unit, and controls platform doors installed at a station.

A platform-door control system includes an on-board control apparatus provided in a train, and a platform-door control apparatus. The on-board control apparatus includes: a ground-coil information storage unit to store information on a ground coil located on a track on which the train runs; a train-position detection unit to detect a position of the train; a train stop-position specification unit to determine a train stop position on the basis of stored information on the ground coil, and train position information detected by the train-position detection unit; a vehicle-door specification unit to determine a vehicle door of the train to be opened/closed, on the basis of the determined train stop position; and a vehicle-door information output unit to output determined vehicle door information of the train. The platform-door control apparatus receives the vehicle door information output from the vehicle-door information output unit, and controls platform doors installed at a station.

A station for a cable transportation system comprising a plurality of transporting units supported and moved outside the station by at least one cable, the station comprising an inlet and an outlet for the transporting units; a guiding device for guiding the transporting units inside the station between the inlet and the outlet; wherein the guiding device comprises an inlet guide extending from the inlet to a diverging point, a plurality of intermediate guides extending along different paths between the diverging point and a converging point; and an outlet guide extending from the converging point to the outlet of the station; a control unit configured for alternately feeding at least a transporting unit along the intermediate guides and for temporary stopping the transporting unit at at least one stopping point along the intermediate guides for enabling the embarking and disembarking while the transporting unit is stopped.

A station for a cable transportation system comprising a plurality of transporting units supported and moved outside the station by at least one cable, the station comprising an inlet and an outlet for the transporting units; a guiding device for guiding the transporting units inside the station between the inlet and the outlet; wherein the guiding device comprises an inlet guide extending from the inlet to a diverging point, a plurality of intermediate guides extending along different paths between the diverging point and a converging point; and an outlet guide extending from the converging point to the outlet of the station; a control unit configured for alternately feeding at least a transporting unit along the intermediate guides and for temporary stopping the transporting unit at at least one stopping point along the intermediate guides for enabling the embarking and disembarking while the transporting unit is stopped.

A train door control method and system are provided. The train door control method includes: acquiring a first train identifier and a second train identifier when multiple trains park in a platform at the same time, a door of a first train to which the first train identifier belongs being to be opened at a current time point, and a second train to which the second train identifier belongs being a train arranged behind the first train, which enters the platform and parks in the platform; and controlling the opening and closing of the door of the first train and a door of the second train at different time points respectively according to the first train identifier and the second train identifier.

A train door control method and system are provided. The train door control method includes: acquiring a first train identifier and a second train identifier when multiple trains park in a platform at the same time, a door of a first train to which the first train identifier belongs being to be opened at a current time point, and a second train to which the second train identifier belongs being a train arranged behind the first train, which enters the platform and parks in the platform; and controlling the opening and closing of the door of the first train and a door of the second train at different time points respectively according to the first train identifier and the second train identifier.

A ride system adapted to eliminate delays caused by variances in loading or unloading through the inclusion of an infinite ingress/egress station within the ride path. The station provides a system to circumvent the vehicle in series design methodology, which allows the station to operate to pull a vehicle out of the line or series of vehicles if an issue arises during loading or unloading. This is achieved using a circular turntable that is rotated with a series of vehicles attached to the outer edge of the rotating turntable so as to be moved along the ride path by the turntable during loading and unloading operations. The station is configured to allow a vehicle identified as having load or unload issues to continue to travel with or around the turntable instead of being released into the attraction along the ride path as would be the case for properly loaded/unloaded vehicles.
