SUSPENDED PUBLIC TRANSIT SYSTEM
Provided herein are transit systems for travel overhead of streets, having: at least a first vehicle and a second vehicle; a main track on which the vehicles travel, the main track having a suspended overhead rail over the streets by a support structure, such that the vehicles travel at an elevated level overhead of street level; docking stations for the vehicles to lower to the street level for loading and/or unloading passengers and/or cargo; a two-position switch at each docking station, having cables enabling vertical movement of the vehicle, and a replacement track; wherein the two-position switch allows for docking of the first vehicle while the second vehicle passes the docked first vehicle, by enabling lowering of the first vehicle from the elevated level to the street level, and the replacement track providing a track portion for the second vehicle on which to pass the first vehicle.
Optical communication system for rail-guided truck
An optical communication system includes a first communication system to communicate first information from a controller to a truck and a second communication system to communicate second information. The first communication system includes a first light emitter to output the first information, a first optical fiber to transport the light output from the first light emitter while letting the light leak therefrom, and a first light receiver to receive the light leaking from the first optical fiber. The second communication system includes a second light emitter to output second information, a second optical fiber to transport the light output from the second light emitter and input to the second optical fiber at some point along the second optical fiber, and a second light receiver to receive the light transported over the second optical fiber.

TRANSFER VEHICLE SYSTEM
A transfer vehicle system in which transfer vehicles travel on a track includes a measurement portion in a portion of a path continuing to the track to measure a measurement target portion included in the transfer vehicle on the path, an identifier to identify the transfer vehicle for which the measurement target portion has been measured by the measurement portion, a storage to store a measurement result measured by the measurement portion and an identification result identified by the identifier in association with each other, and a display to provide notification of information concerning a state of the measurement target portion determined based on the measurement result and a reference value.
RAIL CONVEYANCE SYSTEM
A system and apparatus that eliminates the need for constructing a platform the length of a structure and further eliminates heavy machinery as a means of transportation or conveyance of a work platform. The system provides a rail member in combination with a plurality of bearing races for rolling bearings which allow the hanging platform to move by mechanical means along said supported rail member. The system provides a work platform or equipment cart that moves smoothly along the rail member from a first terminus to a second terminus as necessary for the transportation or conveyance of materials, equipment or persons.
