CABLE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
A cable transportation system without a hauling cable and comprising: a plurality of transporting units; two supporting cables for supporting the transporting units in a suspended configuration; a plurality of trolleys, wherein each trolley supports a transporting unit in a suspended configuration and comprises rolls configured for resting and rolling on the supporting cables and at least one electric motor configured for moving the trolley along the supporting cables.
Apparatus for moving a line cart along a cable
A line cart puller for moving a line cart along overhead conductors and past support towers. The line cart puller has a workspace for supporting a user and/or payload therein, and has a drive wheel able to connect to and disconnect from an overhead conductor hi order to reposition the puller around and past a support tower. The puller also has a motor of a hand-operated tool able to removably connect to a transmission system for driving the drive wheel.
Apparatus for Retrieving a Gravitationally Propelled Load Traveling on a Cable
In connection with a gravitationally propelled load carrying system that includes an elongated suspended cable having a load carrying trolley movably supported thereon, an empty trolley retriever assembly adapted to push the empty trolley upwardly on the cable to be in position to take on a load where the assembly includes a plurality of idler pulleys rotationally carried by a base member where each of the pulleys is disposed in rolling engagement with the upper side of the cable to movably support the retriever assembly on the cable at a position intermediate the trolley and the lower terminal end of the cable, a motor driven drive wheel disposed intermediate the idler pulleys that engages the lower side of the cable, and a remotely operable control electrically connected to the motor for operatively rotating the drive wheel and propelling the retriever.
ENERGY STORAGE AND DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD
An energy storage and delivery system includes one or more cableways and a cage that travels along each of the one or more cableways. The cage is coupled (e.g., fixedly coupled) to one or more cables that extend between a lower elevation and a higher elevation, the cables or steel ribbons being translated along the associated cableway by a traction motor wheel to translate the cage along the associated cableway. The system is operable to pick-up, transport and deliver with the cage a plurality of blocks from the lower elevation to the higher elevation to store energy (e.g., via the potential energy of the block). The system is also operable to pick-up, transport and deliver with the cage a plurality of blocks from the higher elevation to the lower elevation at least partially under force of gravity to generate electricity via an electric generator coupled to the traction motor wheel.

MULTIDIRECTIONAL TRANSPORT SYSTEM
A transport system includes a main cable, a track assembly, and a conveyance assembly, wherein the track assembly is suspended from the main cable to allow unimpeded translational movement of the conveyance assembly along the track assembly. In another aspect according to the present invention, the track assembly has a track changing assembly that includes a track changing section rotatably coupled to a primary track section for selective alignment of the track changing section to any one of a plurality of exit track sections. A method of conveyance along a suspended track includes suspending a main cable between natural or artificial support structures, suspending a track assembly from the main cable, and mounting a conveyance assembly on the suspended track assembly to provide unimpeded translational movement of the conveyance assembly along the track assembly.
