ACCESS SYSTEM WITH OVERRUN PROTECTION

A vehicle access system includes a step plate extendible in an ejection unit with a walk-on upper side and bottom side facing a subsurface in the extended state, and in which is aligned horizontally in a sliding step position and inclined to the horizontal in a ramp position; a sensor configured whereby an area in front of the access system is measured in terms of relative position to the step plate and measurement data is generated, based upon which the step plate is moved into sliding step or ramp positions; and an overrun protection element on the bottom side and swivel-mounted with a front surface arranged at its free end at the front in the extension direction and vertically arranged in the swiveled out position and with a floor surface facing away from, and parallel to the main extension plane of the bottom side in the swiveled out position.

MOVABLE FOOTBOARD FOR A VEHICLE DOOR
20170021842 · 2017-01-26 ·

A movable footboard for a door of a rail vehicle comprises a footboard extendable below a tread strip at least substantially transversely to the direction of travel. To minimize the level difference between the footboard and the tread strip a pivot shaft extends at least substantially parallel to the direction of travel on at least one longitudinal bar of the footboard at the end region of the footboard away from the vehicle, about which pivot shaft at least two pivoting bars are pivotably supported, which pivoting bars each bear a transverse profile element, each of the pivoting bars being rigidly connected to the transverse profile element associated with the pivot bar, while the other transverse profile elements lie freely on said pivot bar, and a lifting mechanism is fastened to the vehicle and lifts the transverse profile element located directly in front of the tread strip.

Folding staircase

A folding staircase for use in a door opening having a threshold. The folding staircase has a pair of stringers that have an upper end and a lower end that is adapted for contacting a ground surface. The stringers are spanned by at least one tread. A hinge is connected to a floor near the door opening and a threshold plate pivotally connected thereto is movable between a use position and a stowed position. The staircase may be provided with a lifting mechanism that biases the staircase and threshold plate toward their stowed positions. The lifting device provides a variable force that provides more rotational force when the staircase would require a user to bear more of its weight and less force when less of the weight of the staircase would be borne by a user.

Emergency front door for pneumatically-propelled vehicles on an elevated track

The front door (1) articulates by means of upper hinges (2), assisted by dampers (3) connected to the internal structure (4) of the front door (1). It includes a lower portion (5) articulated by the lower hinge (6) to the structure of the vehicle (VP). The lower portion of the door (5) projects outwards when the front door (1) is opened through the action of cables (15) and pulleys (16). A retractable staircase (7) extends; when retracted, it folds under the floor of the vehicle (8). The front door (1) is activated internally by the passengers using a lever (9) that turns a rod (10), moving shafts (11) that release the locking mechanism. An electromagnetic safety key, making it possible to open the front door (1) if the vehicle breaks down.
