20190133456 · 2019-05-09 · ·

Systems and methods are disclosed for evaluating a patient with vascular disease. One method includes receiving one or more vascular models associated with either the patient or with a plurality of individuals; receiving observed perfusion information associated with the patient; and estimating, using one or more computer processors, one or more blood flow characteristics or one or more pathological characteristics of the patient based on the observed perfusion information and the one or more vascular models.

MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS

A medical image processing apparatus includes a hardware processor. The hardware processor performs the following, defining a plurality of structures in an X-ray image obtained by capturing a living body; estimating signal values attributed to the structures defined in the X-ray image and generating a layer image for each of the structures; determining a factor of enhancement or attenuation for each of the structures; and enhancing or attenuating the signal value of each of the structures in the layer image based on the determined factor of enhancement or attenuation.

Radiation protection

Provided herein is technology relating to controlling radiation and protecting biological organisms from exposure to radiation and particularly, but not exclusively, to apparatuses, methods, and systems for minimizing and/or eliminating exposure of humans to stray radiation used for medical imaging and therapy.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CREATING A REFERENCE SCOUT IMAGE FOR X-RAY SOURCE CURRENT MODULATION

A system(s), a computer-implemented method(s) and/or computer executable instructions encoded on a computer readable medium(s) obtains, for a scan series for a subject that includes arms of the subject at different positions relative to the subject, a scout image for the subject, removing the arms of the subject from the scout image, designating the scout image with the arms of the subject removed as a reference image for X-ray source current modulation for the scan series, and utilizes the designated scout image for X-ray source current modulation for the scan series.

Contrast agent dose simulation

A method includes obtaining a set of energy dependent data generated from a spectral scan. The set of energy dependent data includes a sub-set of data corresponding to only contrast agent. The method further includes separating the sub-set of data from other data of the energy dependent data. The other data includes non-contrast agent data. The method further includes scaling the sub-set of data to change a concentration of the contrast agent in the sub-set of data from that of the sub-set of data. The method further includes visually presenting at least the scaled sub-set of data.

An introducer assembly for introducing a catheter into a patient, includes a sheath having a distal end and a proximal end with a hollow lumen extending between the distal end and proximal end. The assembly also includes a coupler having a distal end operatively coupled to the proximal end of the sheath, the coupler having an internal passage in fluid communication with the hollow lumen. The assembly further includes a connector having a distal end operatively coupled to the coupler proximate the distal end of the coupler.

RADIOGRAPHY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING RADIOGRAPHY SYSTEM

In the radiography system, a camera image of the usage environment in which the electronic cassette is used is captured. An in-image cassette region of the electronic cassette is detected from the camera image. The cassette ID of the electronic cassette is acquired from the in-image cassette region. The acquired cassette ID is collated with the cassette ID of the use cassette set in the console to check whether the use cassette is present.

RADIOGRAPHY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING RADIOGRAPHY SYSTEM

In the radiography system, a camera provided in an X-ray source captures a camera image indicating a usage environment in which an electronic cassette is used. The electronic cassette is inserted into the field of view of the camera. An in-image cassette region of the electronic cassette is detected from the camera image. A cassette ID of the electronic cassette is acquired from the in-image cassette region. The acquired cassette ID is collated with registration information set in a console and a use cassette setting process is performed on the basis of the collation result.

RADIATION CONVERSION PANEL AND TALBOT IMAGING DEVICE
