RAIL CAR SIDE SCREEN PROTECTOR
A protector for a railway car interior, such as an autorack car designed to transport automobiles. The protector is installed on and covers the sidewall of a railway car to provide a barrier between the car and the sidewall to prevent damage to automobiles being transported in the rail car. The protector has two flanges that extend outward of the body and are deflectable to provide an expanded zone of protection when contacted by an object. The protector may be provided in different lengths to provide a suitable span of coverage of a railway interior structure when the protectors are arranged adjacently, horizontally along a sidewall of the rail car at suitable heights to provide protection. The outwardly projecting flanges provide a protective barrier between the automobile, such as a door panel, and the railway sidewall or other structure. A railcar configured with protectors also is provided.
LOW PROFILE RAIL CLAMP ASSEMBLY
A clamp assembly including a clamp base, a clamping member carriage, and a clamp member. The clamp base includes a clamping end and a release end with an elongate member support section extending therebetween, the clamping member carriage slidably connected to and positioned below the clamp base. The clamping member carriage includes first and second ends, the first end extending toward the clamping end of the clamp base and the second end extending toward the release end of the clamp base. The clamp member is pivotally mounted to a guide rod mounted below the clamp base, the clamp member engageable by the clamping member carriage, the clamp member advanceable between a clamp position and an open position upon sliding advancement of the clamping member carriage toward the clamping or release end of the clamp base, and such sliding advancement may be accomplished by a spring and/or an actuator.
ELECTRIC RAIL VEHICLE
The electric vehicle can include: a payload interface, a payload suspension, a chassis, a set of bumpers, a sensor suite, a controller, a chassis suspension, and an electric powertrain. The electric vehicle 100 can optionally include a payload adapter, a power source, a cooling subsystem, and/or any other suitable components. The electric vehicle functions to structurally support a payload, such as a cargo container (e.g., intermodal container, ISO container, etc.), and/or to facilitate transportation of a payload via railway infrastructure.
VEHICLE WHEEL CHOCK FOR AUTO-RACK RAILCAR
A vehicle wheel chock for securing on-road vehicles within an auto-rack railcar includes a wheel chock body and a locking assembly with a pivotable locking member. The assembly includes a pin support, pin guide, locking handle unit, and spring-loaded locking pin extending between the components. The locking handle is laterally slidable between first and second fully extended positions and an intermediate locked position. In the intermediate position, depending pivot pins on the handle engage a guide recess to prevent pivoting and pin retraction. In either fully extended position, one pivot pin aligns with a clearance portion of the recess, allowing the handle to pivot and retract the locking pin to unlock the chock. A center guide pin coupled to the locking pin tracks within a guide slot of the handle. The design enables unlocking from either side of the chock, improving accessibility. A corresponding method of use is also disclosed.
Remotely adjustable captive beam system
A system and method for automatically and remotely adjusting the position of a captive beam is provided. The system includes a motor that moves a bracket along a vertical track, with the bracket supporting an end of the captive beam. The bracket rotatably supports a latch that engages an aperture in a track when aligned therewith to allow track to support the load of the captive beam and the load supported by the captive beam.
LASHING DEVICE FOR A CARGO LOADING SYSTEM OF A MEANS OF TRANSPORT AND AIRCRAFT
A lashing device for a cargo loading system of a means of transport, in particular an aircraft, includes a main body for load bearing and securing to a supporting structure, and at least two lashing elements for lashing loads or goods. The at least two lashing elements are mounted on the main body to be pivotable about a pivot axis and are designed to be lashable in each case individually or as a unit. An aircraft is disclosed having the lashing device.
