Side Slide Stud Bracket
A vehicle accessory device in the form of a side slide stud bracket that can be used in conjunction with existing board holder pocket/stud cargo securing systems to afford the user greater flexibility in securing his or her cargo load by more closely matching the dimensions of the cargo securing system to the dimensions of the cargo being transported. The bracket of the present invention is repositionable, does not require the use of external tools to install, reposition or remove, and reduces the likelihood that the cargo will slide or tip over during transport.
REMOTELY ADJUSTABLE CAPTIVE BEAM SYSTEM
A system and method for automatically and remotely adjusting the position of a captive beam is provided. The system includes a motor that moves a bracket along a vertical track, with the bracket supporting an end of the captive beam. The bracket rotatably supports a latch that engages an aperture in a track when aligned therewith to allow track to support the load of the captive beam and the load supported by the captive beam.
PIPE COIL SKID WITH SIDE RAILS AND METHOD OF USE
A pipe coil skid includes a plurality of beams affixably connected together to form a rectangular shaped base and a platform disposed within the base. The platform has a concave upward shape on its upward facing side when the skid sits on a horizontal surface, such that a coil of pipe positioned upon the platform contacts the platform within the base. The pipe coil skid also includes a first side rail coupled to at least one of the plurality of beams. The first side rail is configured to block movement of the coil of pipe beyond a boundary of the rectangular shaped base.
Auto-rack railroad car vehicle restraint apparatus
A vehicle restraint system for an auto-rack railroad car which includes an active chock and an anchor chock configured to co-act to secure a vehicle in the auto-rack railroad car. In various embodiments, each chock has a chock body including a substantially diamond shaped elongated tube which includes four integrally connected elongated walls. In various embodiments, for each chock, various components of that chock extend substantially along longitudinal axis that lie in the same or substantially the same vertical plane as the apex and trough of the substantially diamond shaped elongated tube of the chock body. The active and anchor chocks: (a) have a lower height than known commercially available vehicle restraints; (b) have a smaller width than known commercially available vehicle restraints; (c) position the strap and the torque tube closer to the tire of the wheel than any known commercially available vehicle restraints; (d) take up a smaller area of each safe zone adjacent to the wheel than known commercially available vehicle restraints; (e) provide a greater strength to size ratio than known commercially available vehicle restraints; and (f) are easy to operate, install, and remove.
Configurable railroad car
A configurable railroad car including a plurality of multi-orientation coil/slab supports that are configured to be positioned on, oriented on, and securely attached to the floor of the railroad car in different sets of positions and orientations to enable the railroad car to transport different products such as coils, elongated slabs, a mix of coils and elongated slabs, or other products.
Systems and devices for securing portable objects and related methods
An anchoring device and system for securing portable objects is disclosed. The anchoring device may be configured for engagement with a lockable container or structure having an articulating, lockable member. The system may include an anchoring device and a securing device, the securing device (e.g., a cable, chain, etc.) being configured to engage with portable objects and be secured by the anchoring device. In some aspects, an anchoring device may be for engagement with a lockable vehicle door or tailgate can include one or more anchoring members and at least one restraining member. In some aspects, the securing member may be a cable or chain having a closed loop that can be engaged with a portable object and a restraining portion of the anchoring device, and when the anchoring device is engaged with a lockable container or structure, the portable object may be secured thereto.
LOAD SECURING SYSTEM
A load securing system for transporting a coil includes a coil that may be transported on a trailer. The coil has top side, an outwardly facing side and a central aperture. The central aperture has a bounding surface. A plurality of securing units is provided and hingedly coupled together such that the plurality of securing units forms a circle. Each of the securing units is selectively positioned on the coil when the coil is transported to protect the coil from impact damage. A chain plurality of chains is each extended over an associated one of the securing units to secure the coil to the trailer. Each of the securing units is comprised of a rigid material to inhibit the chains from damaging the coil.
Rail Vehicle Having a Dedicated Area for Recharging Light Electric Vehicles
A rail vehicle includes a car body having both a passenger space and a stowage space that is provided with a controller and at least one station for accommodating light electric vehicles. The stations have a chassis, a holding structure, a locking mechanism, and a power outlet. The holding structure can hold the light electric vehicle stationary. The locking mechanism can retain the light electric vehicle in the holding structure. The power outlet can deliver electrical power to a battery of the light electric vehicle when the light electric vehicle is secured in the holding structure and connected to the power outlet. The power outlet can be connected to an electrical power network of the rail vehicle. The controller can selectively send a release signal to the locking mechanism, so as to release the locking mechanism, and to selectively operate the power outlet so as to deliver the electrical power.
LOGISTIC PANEL
A novel logistic panel is disclosed. The logistic panel is adapted for use within cargo containers and enables vertical mounting tracks of a cargo beam and decking system to be located at various desired centers, or intervals, along the length of the container wall, even if the locations of the logistic posts do not coinside with the desired locations of the vertical mounting tracks. The logistic panel comprises a plurality of recessed channels for receiving complementary sized vertical mounting tracks. The mounting tracks and the recessed channels of the logistic panel are sized and configured such that the tracks do not substantially project into the interior of the cargo container and to therefore minimize the risk of the mounting tracks being damaged during loading and unloading operations.
